Sandwich Chef

We were lucky to stopped in while traveling though the area. It's a fairly unassuming place but the food is very high quality and the prices are still much better than most other places. Chef Nick is a friendly guy who aims to please. He grows the vegetables on their property and apparently the meat is grass fed. Looking for a restaurant at the Herkimer exit and found this little gem. Sandwiches and a few salad offerings. We had the Bacon cheese burger, Reuben and shakes. Delicious. You can see all of the cooking from the counter. Everything was clean and tidy as well as the dining area and bathroom. Cute little park down the way, if you prefer to enjoy the sunshine.

Bonita doesn't just make sandwiches. She's a sandwich chef. That means she is an artist. A creator. And the sandwiches were delicious! Also, she'll tell you what you're gonna like, which bread is best, etc. You can stop at a fast food place, or venture a little off the highway and check out Little Falls, which has a cool riverside and big erie canal lock. And get such higher quality food for your journey.
