They had music playing the bar was full and I thought this is different! & I like it!!!! Very upscale, but in a cool way NOT STUFFY!!! SO FUN!The food was superb, service was excellent, & the drinks stay full! A must try if you're in Manhasset area, at the Americana!!!!

Came here for a weekday girl's night. Made a reservation the day before without any issues, but probably could have walked in as well. I have also been here a few other times for work gatherings. Overall a very fancy place as it is also located in a very upscale shopping center. The restaurant has a nice ambiance; it's dark, well decorated, very classy, great for a professional dinner. The service was very nice, waiters were attentive, overall no negative feelings about the service at all. We received the wrong flavor of ice cream for dessert from what we ordered and they gave us an extra scoop for free, which was appreciated. The food was pretty good, definitely a lot of varieties, so if your friends/family are of all different backgrounds and have different food preferences, this is a great place to be. We had the rock shrimp and it was delicious! Loved the creaminess of the sauce. The salads were very good portions, larger than what I expected, sushi was pretty standard. Overall, I feel that Toku excels in their ambiance and presentation more so than the actual food taste, which depending on what you get can be pretty standard; but the variety and environment are what draws me and my colleagues here all the time!

Great service and vibe in the restaurant, but the food is terrible. Mediocre food, small portions, hefty prices, and somehow tastes worse than a chinese takeout place. Very bland and basic.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for many years and was super disappointed with the front desk on my last visit. The host and hostess told us that we would be the next to be seated, and then proceeded to seat many parties before us. When we inquired about this, they rudely told us to mind our business, and wait until they tell us they have a table for us. After 40 minutes we left! They need to change the attitude of the host staff!

I visited Toku in Manhaset today and left thoroughly disappointed. While the food was passable, the host's attitude was absolutely appalling. Their disgustingly rude demeanor ruined what could have been a decent dining experience. Save your money and sanity, folks. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. This happened before. Today I had to leave

Quality food, great decor, service was above average, but not fantastic, likely because the place is always busy.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, but they accommodated my toddler with a high chair and no issues

I rather shop in-person for food than luxury goods but my favorite Aunties love designer gifts so Americana Manhasset, a luxurious open-air shopping center in Manhasset, Long Island is the perfect solution. I can spoil my Aunties and eat steak at Toku Modern Asian, a win-win! Steak bliss! Toku Modern Asian's A5 Japan Wagyu, highest-quality Japanese steak, is an impeccably marbled, rich and indulgent steak rockstar! Toku is as sleek, modern and has a Pan-Asian and/or Steakhouse menu as TAO and STK Steakhouse but clearly better food. My fave Luxury EV startup and Tesla rival, Lucid Motors- technologically impressive and 60% owned by Saudi Arabia- is nearby in Americana Manhasset, fun to take a look. Americana Manhasset's name makes me think of Taylor Swift's documentary 'Miss Americana' - weirdly.

Our lunch was very disappointing, and we found a downward trend going to Toku. From the beginning, my husband and I came in, and we were taken to a table in the back sitting right next to a very small child note that the back was relatively empty, and we could've been seated away from the children as we requested in our OpenTable notes, we said that we didn't want to want that table and was offered another table next to another child. We basically then decided to sit upfront in the bar area. I ordered the Bento box which was extremely disappointing. Orange chicken was very flavorful, but the chicken was horribly dry spicy edamame was so spicy. It was an edible. The salad was stale and bland. The sushi was fine. Our waiter passed by our table several times, but never stop by to ask how things were and I didn't feel like calling them over and making a big deal about the chicken While you were paying for the bill, I mentioned to him that some notes to the chef that the sauce for the orange chicken was tasty but the chicken was very dry. The waiter said, why didn't you tell me and I said honestly because you never came by and asked us how things were. He said I came by three times and he (referring to the husband) said fine fine fine sticking his finger at us, being very snarky and then walking away. He's lucky the bill was already paid. It'll be a while before we return.

Our waiter Kevin was awesome. Attentive, hospitable, patient and made sure we were satisfied overall. The hostess was not very accommodating initially, but eventually she let her customer service shine through.Parking: If you come at the height of shopping time, it will be difficult to find parking. Otherwise, parking was ok.

Food is delicious - more on the expensive side for an Asian meal. Upbeat, party vibes in the restaurant but a great place to go on a date night or with friends for drinks and dinner. Service is great, usually go to NY location but went to Miami location for vacation. Will be back!
