Phillies has been the place my family goes for pizza in this neighborhood for many years. Their slices and their kitchen food are very filling.

I had another late work evening, and it was cold, so I took the next express bus that went to Queens and landed in Middle Village. This restaurant was my family go to when they had a cash only pasta night. Now that deal no longer exists, but the portions were very generous. I had a solo wine and dine dinner. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and fusilli with salmon and vodka sauce. The fusilli dish was huge and complimented well with the wine. I ate half of the portion and took the rest home for lunch the next day.

If I can give less than 1 star I would. I worked late so called in my order on my way home. Obviously had to wait for it but I don’t mind. I ordered calamari arrabiata and a MINI margarita pie. Not only was it $47.00 when in the past I’ve paid no more than $30 but it was probably the worst it has ever been. I’m not a fan of Phillies at all but it’s close to home and those are the only 2 dishes that are edible or i should say WERE edible. The calamari was so chewy it wasn’t even edible and the pizza was cold. Like I said I had to wait for it so it should’ve never been cold but what I’m most disappointed with is the calamari. Is there a new cook? I had to throw everything out. $47.00 in the garbage. I wouldn’t have normally minded spending that money on quality food but I wouldn’t even give this to my worst enemy. Needless to say no one in my family will ever go back there again. Shouldn’t be charging that much for inedible food. I’m so disgusted. Do better guys. You should be ashamed. I spoke with a few people in the neighborhood and they have said the same thing.

I always come here for pizza to pick up for the kids, and sometimes order food for pick up. It is constantly busy when I come in, and although the wait times get long at times, the food never disappoints. The young blonde cashier that I’ve encountered a few times always has such a bright attitude and a smile that lights up the place. The others seem grouchy and like they don’t want to be there.
I was invited a few months ago as part of a group. It was great because everyone could order at their own price point. Something for everyone's taste.The food,the timeliness and taste did not disappoint nor did the outgoing staff or the ease of payment so, people could leave as needed. The back area where we were was delightful and clean as well as the bathroom. It was a memorable experience in all the best ways.

I have been coming here for so many years now. I have been here with family and friends. This place sells pizza like a ordinary pizza shop but it's also a very nice family Italian resteraunt. You can grab something on the go, having something simple at the first few table you see or sit in the back for a nice pleaseant atmosphere while eating your meal. They also have outdoor seating. The food and staff are great. I usually grab the chicken parm platter and house salad. Yum..
