Pio Pio has lost its way. The chicken just is OK now. The sides are old and dry. Got a sangria served in a plastic cup for the first time in my life! Why? How is that cost effective to serve drinks in a "restaurant" in disposable plastic trash.There's an illegal 4% surcharge if you use your credit card too.The servers were nice.

I would have been better off throwing my money directly into the trash, the rice smelled and tasted like smoke (they probably burned it and they sold what was on top) the chicken was super salty and semi-raw, I am a frequent customer of Pío Pío but on northern blvd and This has never happened today. I wanted to try here because it was close and I was hungry. Don't waste your money in this place, it's better to throw it in the trash, maybe someone who needs it will find it.

Order to go. Fast friendly service. Chicken was delicious, juicy and so flavorful. Rice and Maduros were very good. Personally did not like the chicken empanadas but my friends did, so it's just a matter of taste. They were a little too spicy for me. Definitely going back for chicken.

The chicken is the most that you can taste from there I have to say is very tasty at the same time EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, the price is so high that is almost impossible to buy another dish, the tostones are horrible they are so big and thick that it causes to chuck when eating, the bean needs a little more seasoning. I would not purchase from Pío Pío any longer.Parking: Horrible

Not the same. Everything here im has gone down hill from dry small chicken, bad oil friend tostones and peculiar tasting rice.I’ve been going for 25 years and this will be the last. They are too expensive not to get it right.

(4.3/5 rating) I’ve been going here for a few years and if you’re looking for a quick Peruvian vibe this is it. Unlike the other Pios this one is small with limited menu choices. It’s ideal for a lunch special which comes with chicken. Rice beans and salad. The sangria always hits. However this last time I went I was disappointed with the service & also seems that their chef or something has changed with their cooking. The rice beans and chicken tasted different. The salad was alright. Their staff and service can improve & also seasoning tasted better before.
Feel like the quality has gone down here. The chicken was both lukewarm and a bit overdone.

I have been going to Pio Pio for over 25 years. The prices have gone up considerably over the past few years and the food quality as diminished tremendously. This was my go to place but now I must say after a few take out orders, I can’t bring myself to return. The last order I received, the chicken was dry, the tostones were burnt, the avocado was old and brown, the salad was old and stale, and the friend fries were raw inside. The only thing that was decent was the rice and beans. No thank you! Oh and by the way, this was the REGO PARK location !!
