Don't let the simplistic atmosphere of Gourmet Bake Shop fool you. The cakes and cookies taste amazing and the workers are very friendly and accomodating. They are easily one of the best bakeries in the area.

I have been to Gourmet Bake Shop many times. I have always been happy with my purchases and even recommended them. Unfortunately I probably won't go back after my experience today. I was bringing dessert to a friend's house. Everything I ordered was old and stale. The pastry were hard and dry and you could tell the cream was old. I was so embarrased. Everything went in the garbage. They lost a customer today.

As far as my husband and I are concerned one of the best, if not the best bakery. Been stopping by for years and never had a complaint. We had apple pie, chocolate babkah, various Danish, cookies. I love the chocolate cigars. Staff is always pleasant and helpful, no matter how busy they are. If it is a holiday, go early or reserve ahead of time.

Good baked goods, reasonable prices. Closed on Monday and takes vacations from time to time, so call ahead if you aren't in the neighborhood. There's another bakery about a mile down the road, but that one is out of bread before 7 am.

Great local bakery. Come in here at least once a week. Have ordered many special occasions cakes here and they were phenomenal. Joe and his staff are very friendly.

I wouldn't recommend this bakery. We came one morning, and a nice associate asked if we needed help. We said we would look around and she said to let us know when we were ready.After a couple of minutes, we were ready. A different associate asked what we wanted, and I began to tell her. In the middle of me saying what I wanted, she turned to the next person in line and asked what they wanted, and then began boxing up their items.I found this very rude and we walked out. It really left a sour taste in our mouths. We had been there already long before anybody else was even in the store. I can appreciate that working in retail is difficult, but common decency and communication goes a very long way in running a successful business. We went to another local bakery and won't be returning here.

One of my favorite bakeries. I usually get their fruit tarts, mini pastries and fresh filled cannolis but never tried their cakes or custom ordered one before. But for my sons first birthday, I decided to take a chance and order the cake. Wow! I'm so impressed! The cake was beautiful and delicious! Joe is so talented and was able to bring my vision to life. I gave him a few pictures of what elements I liked and he did the rest. The cake was moist and delicious. I got a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and a fresh fruit and custard filling. So delicious! Highly recommend. Joe was so easy to work with and the price was very reasonable too. Thank you for making an amazing cake!
