I was starving and came across this spot tucked away on Mott. You would easily miss it as it's not flashy. They specialise in Claypot rice, but truly and unfortunately missed the mark for me. They make these Chinese rice bowls called bo zhai fan. Traditionally these are made in clay pots with various meats and veggies on top. It's then steamed over fire to cook it. They make these in metal tin bowls so the burnt bottom of the rice is not as crispy as with the clay pot. However, for the price and amount, it is good. The taste is good too. I love clay pot rice so it’s great to find a place that specialises in it for a super affordable price! Got the combination clay pot with an egg as well as butternut squash and chicken skewers which I devoured before remembering to take a picture, I enjoyed everything and will try the chicken and mushroom next time. The staff was also super friendly.
