Bep Ga, a nice humble restaurant tucked away on Forsyth Street adjacent to the Sara D. Roosevelt Park on Grand Street. A traditional Vietnamese restaurant with modest offerings, best known for their Pho Ga, chicken pho noodles. We ordered the chicken and rice, and the rice paper salad. The 1st was becaude it was the most popular dish, the latter was because it was the favorite of the person who worked there. I'm glad I asked because WHOA! It was tasty!! Both were, but that rice paper salad has convinced me to come back and try everything on the menu. I honestly would have never ordered it if it was up to me. It was so surprising. A medley of textures and tastes (sweet, sour, salty). Perfectly balanced.
This is the place that you can get authentic vietnamese food! Absolutely wonderful home cooked food. The chicken salad is fresh and healthy with great balance of sweetness. The Chicken rice is your go-to, just like how it is served in hoi an!
