Hot chocolate - yum!

Look, it will surprise exactly none of the upper west side, many of whom wait in the long lines over the weekend just for this, that the chocolate babka is off the bleeding hook. It's so good that the bread surrounding the chocolate tastes as chocolatey as the chocolate, which is something of a feat when you consider how much it's actually bread, and how bready bread actually is. Can't recommend highly enough. We heard about a place in Jersey that had "babka as good as Breads Bakery" but when we tried it, they actually had babka as good as Dunkin Donuts donuts, which isn't all that good for babka.Don't go for the salads or whatever.

Please invest in a new stapler. The paper bag you handed me had misshapen metal staples sticking out of it that tore up my coat

So disappointed. Had a hot chocolate a couple weeks ago, and it was quite good, so I went back for another today. The first time I got it, it was given to me right away (I'm assuming it was premade) so I was thrilled to see the guy break out some chocolate wafers and steam the milk; but that excitement gave way to disappointment when I received the drink (see picture). It was essentially a $6+ of steamed milk with a tiny hint of chocolate :(

Cute coffee shop on our way to the park. Very nice people, lots of quick breakfast options as well as sweets and coffee. We came in at a busy time, don't remember being asked if it was dine in or to go but we were given it to take togo however the wait was long and we ended up eating it before we even got our coffee. We had to stand because of lack of seating inside, it's a small place and it was packed. There were people that were done and just were on their phones taking up space but that isn't the shop's fault, just inconsiderate people. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, mediterranean quiche and a croissant, all great even if we did eat it from a bag while standing. We both ordered a half caf that my husband was fully convinced was just a decaf, it tasted good but when we both got close to the bottom there was so many coffee grounds I had to spit it out. Not exactly the breakfast experience I was looking for but at least we had a warm cup of coffee and ate some goodies before we went to the park. Hope to return and try it again.

Cute place but not worth the hype. Very expensive for what you get.

Small shop that does a few things really well. One of the best croissants on the UWS. Egg sandwich is so fluffy and delicious. Almond croissant was delicious and flaky.

I usually really enjoy their pastries, especially the babka. Today I ordered the chocolate croissant and it was stale. Definitely not baked today. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

This place is very busy on the weekend morning. I highly recommend you to try chocolate bread and cinnamon role ( if you like sweet bread!)

Breads Bakery is so lovely, they have a great selection of fresh-made bread, sandwiches, salads, and bakery goods. Their banana bread is AMAZING, as is their olive bread. The staff here are very kind as well! I highly recommend this spot, they are located close to Columbus Circle & Lincoln Center on the Upper West Side!

Super friendly employees and really good pastries and baked goods. Wanted to try their seasonal items, which they were out of but will need to try another time I’m visiting and they hopefully have them.Limited seating indoors and a few tables outside too.♿️ accessible entrance. Storefront is on the 1st floor.
