I’ve been wanting to come here for a while so today 03/14/2024 I decided to drive all the way from Queens and I wasn’t disappointed. The woman that took my order was very welcoming and polite but the only issue I had was it’s not really a sit down restaurant. More like an order to go place. Now there’s a small bench with three seats inside near the front window and I was lucky that 3 customers that was waiting for their food gave me the seats. I ordered the 3 piece Pan-Fried Chicken with Mac&Cheese and Yams which came with Cornbread. The food was AMAZING, SO AMAZING I ordered a plate to go(with a little guilt)! Food shouldn’t taste so good. They make it hard for me trying to stay healthy. I’m just happy they don’t have one in Queens near me! GREAT FOOD!

The chicken was exceptionally flavorful and perfectly crisped on the outside. The waffle had a nice cornbread texture and taste - the outside had a good texture but the inside could have been a little more moist. You won’t regret the chicken! Super friendly staff. Only 3 stools, so plan on to-

I ordered food for an event at my job and the food arrived over 1 hour later than the scheduled time. Needless to say the food cold and the chicken was soggy. Additionally, I sent an email on Friday to place the catering order and did not get a response until Monday when I sent a second e-mail. After sending an email to voice my concerns about the poor service, I have yet to receive a response. Duly noted, will not consider Charles Pan Fried Chicken for a future events.

I placed an order for delivery in January. After an hour wait I received a call from the restaurant they were just getting to our order and didn’t have yams. After placing substitutes and waiting for delivery. Several items from my order were missing. I called and left a voicemail, contacted the delivery service and emailed the restaurant directly. To my disappointment I have not received a response.
Omg I could smell the food from outside. This is exactly what this area needed. Mouthwatering. The food speaks for itself. And the staff greeted me with a smile, very welcoming. Definitely going to spread the word.
We ordered the wings, 4 sides, 2 desserts, and 2 drinks. The wings were basic and lacking seasoning. The sides were not fully cooked and also needed more flavor. The yams had a little sweetness. The Mac and cheese was cheesy but that was it. The peach cobber is just bread pudding with peaches thrown on top. The red velvet cake was dry. We were there within an hour of opening and they were already out of everything else we wanted. We were ready to drop a hundred dollars on delicious food for how many people we had and it fell very short of that. There was barely any communication between the workers but everything I ordered was in the bag so that's the only good thing. The cornbread definitely doesn't remind me of home and give me any comfort. I won't be back or recommend this to anyone. Highly unsatisfied.

Very warm and welcoming place. Love the sweet Yams, mac n cheese, amazing ribs. Their sauce is to die for. Fried Chicken was ok.The desserts were are a highlight. The strawberry cheesecake is to die for. The bana pudding is good, the Peach Cobbler is ok.
