I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The dishes they serve are appetizing and the team is generous and cooperative. Every time we eat in this place we have a splendid evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant

I woke nearby and after 6 months visited my office today to get some stuff done. Lunchtime comes and China Blue is first on my mind. Devastated to read that they've closed this location permanently. Best of luck for the re-opening in mid-town!

China Blue is one of the best upscale Chinese restaurants I have been to in New York. The food is very authentic and I love the old vintage Shanghai decor. Compared to your typical Chinese restaurant, the portions are a little smaller for the price; however, the food really makes up for the price. I recommend the: 1. Shredded Pig Ears in Sesame-Chili Sauce 2. Fried Fish with Salted Duck Egg 3. Pork Belly with Mustard Greens

This place is incredible. Maybe the best Chinese restaurant in NYC. I’ve ordered many many different dishes here and absolutely none of them have disappointed. Very authentic and high in quality. 10/10 would keep going back. Love you guys.

Came here for Sunday brunch with a friend and was able to enjoy a couple of dishes done very well. We decided to share vegetable dumplings, the eggplant with garlic dish, and one thousand year egg. The first to come out was the egg appetizer, which was pleasing to the eyes. The yolk had a creamy texture and the whites was transparent. The chili oil complemented the taste well. Next were the vegetable dumplings which were pretty standard. Good- the skin was thin and filling was flavorful - but nothing special. Would still order it again if I came back. Lastly, the eggplant dish was very good. It wasn't too oily, and the eggplant was cooked perfectly. My friend recommended this dish to me and I could see why. The spicy, sweet, and umami flavors were balanced. With a bowl of jasmine rice, it made the perfect shanghai-style chinese brunch meal. While the food was good, the decor was also very nice. Would love to come back for a dinner or visit it's sister location Cafe China.

We came here after few disappointments at well known Chinese restaurants in the city, and were not disappointed here.

This is a true HIDDEN gem. I put emphasis on hidden because I passed it everyday and didn't even know it was a restaurant!! It is extremely low key with minimal storefront advertising. But once inside you will be transformed into a unique space. The food is super authentic and it can be a bit crowded. So for being so hidden but still a great amount of visitors must mean they're doing something right!

Always has great food. Best lunch special deal in the Tribeca neighborhood. Pork belly with taro is slightly greasy and heavy for lunch, but always feel very satisfied lol.

I thought the atmosphere in this restaurant was very attractive. It reminds me of old Shanghai. The furniture, tableware and decor are the same tone and reminds you of an era that's long passed. We ordered three menu items to share between two people. I highly recommend the salty duck egg rice cake and bok choy, they were really good. The drunken chicken was also good, but I thought it'd be better with less salt.

Good service, cool decor and food actually tastes not bad. Some dishes are too sweet to my taste but overall a good experience.

Everything was good and it’s a nice place but I’d generally rather eat in Chinatown.

Nice ambience, mix of the traditional Chinese look with the retro NYC warehouse look. Service is superior to most of the Chinese restaurants. Soup dumplings and dishes we had were definitely of the better side. King pao chicken was the best I ever had. I can imagine it can be a good date spot as well. Downside is that it is bit far from the subway stations.
