Dining here is a true culinary experience. From the swanky vibes of the interior to the unique and decadent dishes offered, this place truly is a dumpling lab. My boyfriend and I walked in for a late lunch on a Saturday and were seated promptly. There's seating upstairs as well as downstairs but they were only using the upstairs this particular day. Every seat was full including all the bar seats. We ordered a wide array of dishes: 18 dumplings (truffle, mackerel, chicken), tofu, crispy popcorn chicken, and truffle shrimp toast. My favorites were the truffle shrimp toast and the truffle dumplings, that toast had me salivating with every bite and I know I'll be thinking about it for a good while until I return. Some of the dumplings had the option to pan fry which I prefer since it adds extra texture. Overall amazing spot, I loved everything that we got and will definitely be returning to dine in as well as take some frozen dumplings home.

Ordered through Google on DoorDash after seeing this place on Eater's list of new Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants. Decided to try the truffle dumplings. Note that you cannot get the truffle dumplings as part of the "pick 2 dumplings" deal; ended up being about $18 for 6 dumplings. The order took about an hour and I walked in and picked up at the counter. The interior was clean and modern and the upstairs dining area was almost completely empty on a Friday at 1 PM; you don't appear to need reservations for lunch. The dumplings were tasty but didn't blow me away for the price. The truffle flavor definitely comes through and the interior is a little chunky/texture-y. Anyway it was okay, would definitely come back to try a full dining experience here but it's not at the top of my list.

***Pricey, Reservation Needed, Delicious Food*** I made a reservation for lunch immediately when they opened. You can order your food through a QR code and pay for the meal through the website. I highly recommend the truffle dumplings and the shrimp toast. It's a bit pricey, but I definitely enjoyed the meal.

I had a good experience with Dumpling Lab but I have had better dumplings before. The portions were small but the service was great! Would highly recommend the Shrimp Toast.

Was feeling little bit homesick and discovered this place. Dumpling tastes great and the other small plates we ordered came out really nicely as well. Big plus for me was that the wine was super well priced. We ordered a bottle of rieslings and it paired fantastic with dumplings with uni/fish. Highly recommend.

Spent my time upstairs over here. I think the photos are mostly from the downstairs which looks even more interesting. But Dumpling Lab is fine if you are on the top floor as well. Food is excellent with a couple of unique orders. We found that we liked the mackerel dumplings significantly more than the truffle dumplings. There were some really fun chicken items here that tasted great. Everyone loved their take on shrimp toast and that was likely the table favorite. Drinks were good enough but not super memorable. If you are looking for a low key place to enjoy some nice dumplings and Asian small plates, Dumpling Lab is a good bet.

We went to this restaurant for dinner yesterday, the restaurant was very modern and clean. The food were flavorful and fresh and my most favorite was the Shrimp Toast. We definitely will go back again.

A gem in East Village!We came for date night and it was really cute. The interior is simple but classy. The menu has a lot of unique flavors. We got: beer, cocktail, truffle shrimp toast, uni / truffle / spicy dumplings, beef side dish and a soup. We loved the truffle shrimp toast. The bread was light & crispy. The uni & truffle dumplings were delicious. The flavors really came out. It is on the pricier side but understandable given the ingredients. I would recommend this as a good date spot!

Went with a former coworker 2 night and loved the mackerel, Sichuan style trio, crab Rangoon, cucumber zucchini, truffle, and uni dumplings. Excellent mixed drinks,, chill ambience including bar area. Where Vera Wang at? Let's spread the word and help a small business. Enjoyed long conversation with owner Sophi tonight. Hard worker and humble person from what I gather..
So insanely good! I especially loved the truffle dumplings, but everything was fabulous, including the cocktails, Szechuan dumplings, zucchini and cucumber dumplings, and cucumber salad.

Delicious and unusual dumplings. I tried the mackerel, uni, and zucchini, all deelish. You do all the ordering on your phone so if you walk in and it seems like there are no wait staff, don't worry. Just sit yourself down, pull up the menu or your phone, and enjoy some amazing dumplings.

I came here after class for happy hour and it was AWESOME! They provide an assortment of dumplings and other tapas-like plates. I'd highly recommend their Mouthwatering Chicken, which definitely lives up to their name. Their Trio Dumplings are also incredible. In addition to that, their cocktails shocked me! They taste like juice but are surprisingly super strong. Dumpling Lab is also extremely reasonably priced (cocktails are $12). Whether you're a student or a working professional, I'd check this place out!
