If you haven't been here yet, don't in any way assume it's in any way similar to the original Gourmet Garage..uh-uh, it's a whole lot better ! The parent company has massive buying power for selection, quality and service. The employees are deferential and quite approachable. When you walk in, the prepared foods make you not want to order from restaurant delivery. Pick and choose which package you favor, and split. Meats and fish are real good. Dowstairs is grocery, alch, frozen, etc. The self-serve checkout kiosks others kvetch about. From years gone by, I've already become accustomed to these, from smaller cities like Binghamton. Please reference my pics.Go and Enjoy !

Big store on 2 levels with lots of wholefoods, organic, kosher. Jave affordable tea, coffee and very tasty takeaway meal options from 3.99.Also, plugs to charge in case you film a lot (like me) and a restroom downstairs.I will be back. Also had a food tasting for a new type of Jewish, LGBTIQ-owned lemonade brand.

This store only offers self-checkout, which is annoying given the prices here. And, unlike other stores that charge $0.05 for a bag, they make you buy a bag that is huge and costs like $3. Management - most people throw those bags away immediately. What a scam. I rarely come here as a result. The sushi is decent though. Otherwise, this is a grocery store that sells everything at marked-up 7 Eleven level prices.

Way better than the D'argostino but still not a good supermarket everything is rather pricey and also the selection is very limited. The only plus they actually have is the really friendly staff, as well as their sushi Wednesday.Apart from that I really only go there because there is no alternative in the West Village.

How in the world can you sell this stuff. Bought a Turkey,Brie on ciabatta now I don't want it heated up which the gentleman asked 2x. Thought I chipped a tooth the roll was so hard. It had to be days old. Come on your charging a premium price for stuff homeless people wouldn't eat for free. Never buy pre made stuff

Just received an order where an $18.88 item was missing. Store doesn't answer their phone - let it ring for 6 minutes. Instacart won't return my money for 3-5 days. What a rip off!

Terrible experience!!!!!!I found out that Gourmet Garage was bought out by mediocre low end grocery chain unlike what they were when i shopped there for years. All salads like tuna and egg etc had preservatives that would allow them to sit for weeks longer than freshly made ones. i found out"of course this was bought out by a medicore supermmarket chain" ) food was not very fresh and HERES The Kicker, The automated machines at checkout was programed not to EXCEPT ANY BILL THAT WERENT NEW BLUE BANK BILLS! DUH????? I had only normal everyday 20's they wouldnt except them leaving me stuck! i complained and was "This is the New Way,i was told. The women were laughing about it and when i said I wouldnt be back i was told" EVEN IF YOU DONT LIKE OUR POLICYS , Maybe youll still come by to say hello????"I wanted folks to know what to expect when shopping here as a courtesy to those who like natural preservative free and additive free food and bring able to grocery shop without all these problems.Sad as the was original frienfly and delicious
