Fried vege, either frozen the inside, or over cooked make the seaweed harder. Chicken soup w a smell, feel not that fresh.

The scotch egg was pretty underwhelming. Inside it’s some kind of meat patty, fried, with boiled egg in it. It’s sizable and filling, but it’s bland without the sauce which was a spicy mayo. It looks creative, but tastes ordinary.

K’OOK is a super affordable korean restaurant in the St Marks neighborhood.I recommend getting their fried chicken + drink combo for $25. The chicken was extremely crispy, flavorful, and the meat was juicy.I was super excited about the scotch egg but it was pretty bland without the sauce.

Very cozy restaurant with delicious and fairly priced food. The crispy rice egg is amazing and a must get appetizer. I also got the dol sot w/chicken which came in a hot stone bowl. It was very filling and a perfect meal for a cold day. Excited to come back and try other dishes like the cold noodles.

This place serves solid Korean food at a reasonable price point in East Village. The space is cozy, yet spacious and can host big parties. You start with some side dishes like kimchi, spinach, and fish cakes. The dish I got came with rice as well. Overall, it was a nice place and I'd stop by if I'm in the area.

Stopped in here before catching a comedy show in the East Village. Was boppin' on a Saturday night -- the place was buzzing with groups of friends having lively dinner convo. The space is small (it is in a basement after all) but cozy and quirky. Wait was about 30 minutes for a table for 2 at 7 PM. Not an issue since there are no shortage of bars nearby to pass the time.We ordered a sampling of stuff since we were a bit short on time. Got the wings with soy garlic, cheesy corn, and the KBBQ chicken entree (which came with a side of rice and included the banchan). All of it was delicious! It's worth mentioning that the cheesy corn isn't quite like the stuff you get as a side at some kbbq places -- it's definitely a lot more liquidy -- but still so good! Loved the bell pepper and onion additions. We were in and out in 40 minutes once we were seated and made it to our show with time to spare. Easy to miss amongst all the restaurants if you're just walking by, but definitely a solid option for a cozy (but lively!) dinner with friends or a pre-show meal.

The most affordable authentic Korean place! As a Korean it was such a nice experience for me because every time i tried Korean places it was so expensive!I’m sure all the Koreans will agree with me. But this place is really affordable and clean and nice! They have plenty of seats and food is delicious and authentic too! Me and my husband ordered bibimbap and sodas. It was really delicious and side dishes were tasty too! I really recommend if you want affordable Korean spot. ??????

I really want to like this place, but the food is really just bland, and the service is very very slow. The banchan is fresh- but really, the food is just not that flavorful. It's ok/good food if you are hungry, but I always seem to leave disappointed.Yuk kae jang has always been watery. Broth just not that flavorful. Beef seems to have been over boiled for weeks.Pajun very oily. Ugh.Scotch egg thing very bland but crispy.Snowki insanely salty and processed (unless you're in the mood for that).Buddae jigae ok but also salty and they use ham...My friends love the infused soju. Which I think is too sweet and matcha -like.I love that they have draft makgeolli. I think that's all I'll get here if I'm ever back.

I've ordered from here many times and had nothing but great dinners! I recommend their soy garlic chicken wings and beef bulgogi. They also come with cubed radishes, kimchi, and bean sprouts. Very delicious and quick.

It's very similar to Korean restaurants in South Korea, while having a few unexpected differences. Appetizers are as large as main dishes. Dolsot was less spicy and sweeter than usual Korean dolsot. Fried chicken is very high quality, and kimbap is also great. The food was too much for two people, so I brought it home. I had it tomorrow lunch and still delicious. Dolsot and japchae are particularly good for microwaves.

A friend suggested this place to me, so I went for dinner with someone out of town to check it out. I wasn't that impressed with the drinks, the earl grey Soju cocktail was kind of bitter. I had to add extra water to finish it. To change it up I got a fruit Soju cocktail sampler (lychee, green apple, yuzu and pineapple) the pineapple was my favorite! The green apple was also good, kind of let down with the two Asian fruit flavors. For food we both got the Beef Bulgogi Korean BBQ. It came with a side of rice and banchan for the two of us. The kimchi and kimchi cucumbers were amazing. I even ordered a side of kimchi to go home with. The sesame oil greens & bean sprouts weren't as good but okay. The beef itself was so incredibly flavorful! Absolutely delicious. Would have loved a little spice kick but still very good.

The food was delicious, the server seated us quickly. This is a cute place to eat, when you ask for the check, comes in a treasure chest. Would eat here again!

Humble, down-to-earth and unassuming eatery with some typical and traditional Korean dishes. Both kimchi jigae and bibimbap were delicious. The scotch egg was innovative and filling too. Especially with the current inflation, the price they charged for the quality food is unbeatable. By the way, those quotes on the wall really cracked me out!

Food was pretty good and service was great. The Korean scotch egg was interesting but needed some sauce. Thankfully we ordered the ddukboki and that sauce worked very well for it.Their LA galbi tasted amazing but there wasn’t much of it.Their spicy cold noodles were amazing and I highly recommend. The arrowroot noodles were extremely bouncy and chewy, and the cold, iced broth was delicious. One star off because they aren’t doing the Combo Special listed on their website (1 Korean bbq + cold noodles).
