Was waiting so long for this beautiful little bakery to open! When it finally did, we met the really friendly owner and sampled some of the delicious goodies they had. Since then, we've been back a couple of times to sample different things. Their pizza was delicious and chocolate cake super moist. Unfortunately our last visit is why I'm not giving them 5 stars. My last visit I got a mini quiche for my son, which looked great. He really enjoyed it, but a couple hours later, started feeling sick and threw it all up. He only has reactions like that when he's been "glutened". No other explanation for it from other things he had eaten that day. So, celiacs beware. Even though they claim it is 100% gluten free, I would be very cautious eating here. So disappointed, but we will definitely steer clear. Since writing this, I have heard of many others getting sickened by Le Gourmand's "gluten free" baked goods. They are delicious, but they are not gluten free.

My absolute most favorite bakery on the upper west side !! And "Moon" the owner is a wonderful soul! The chef and staff are always welcoming and the baked goods are delicious! My favorite from the summer is the banana bread which was vegan and gluten free. It is by far the best vegan and gluten free bakery in the area !!! PS- not everything is vegan but everything is delicious!

This is a lovely little gluten-free place. I've tried muffins and tuna sandwich so far and will be going back to try more. Take-out only as it's a very tiny spot and there is only one bench there to sit on.

I can't wait to take my gluten-free mom here the next time she comes to New York, she is going to flip and try everything. Everything here is incredible. I was skeptical about the breads as I haven’t had much success with gluten-free options in the past, but these far surpassed my expectations. They were dense and yet moist, flavorful and yet subtle. Also, I just tried the gluten-free pizza with tomatoes and zucchini and I genuinely like it more than regular pizzas. And that’s saying a lot.

One of the best bakeries in neighborhood & it just so happens to be gluten free. The muffins, breads and pizzas are delicious. Very rich, full of flavor and healthy ingredients. They have several dairy free and vegan options as well even with pizzas.The staff is super friendly and eager to answer questions. Highly recommend.

What a great, gluten free find! With lots of family and friends who are gluten free, I always struggle to find affordable, delicious places to take them in NYC. Thank goodness for Le Gourmand! I tried the blueberry muffin, banana bread and turmeric pizza. Wow. Everything was incredible, better even than most non-gluten free bakeries. The owner, Mounir, and his staff were friendly and offered me samples of things when I couldn't make up my mind! Looking forward to going back many times and trying literally everything on the menu! Amazing place.

While visiting my daughter in NYC we came across Le Gourmand.... a fabulous GF bakery. Mounir is very helpful!!! I purchased quit a few items to take back to Florida, I am panicking (just kidding) cause there almost gone. Mounir is working on his website for shopping/shipping. I can’t wait. It will be my first stop when I am back in February!!!!

Wow! I don't even know where to start. This place is just amazing! I live in Palm Springs and stayed in NYC for couple of days. I went to Le Gourmand and was amazed about everything in the bakery. First, I came in and heard someone singing in the kitchen and the guy behind the counter told me it was the owner. I had different samples and everything I tasted was so good, the multi-grain bread, banana cake and the lemon cake are just incredible. I had to ask if this is really Gluten Free cause it didn't taste like anything I had before. I wish Le Gourmand could open in Palm Springs. I am not vegan but I also tasted the Vegan Chocolate Cake and it was out of this world! The owner came out and said hi and you can see that he is really passionate about what he does. I just wanna say thank you. You don't get to see a lot of places like this anymore.
