Nothing but great! We came for a 5:00 PM and the staff are just wow. Although this restaurant is a bit strict with manners for SOME, the staff assist with any request, the actual building is unique with small tries and mosh on the floor. Although it’s a bit small, it’s so great in terms of noise. Surprisingly not that many people showed up when we were eating but the noise is very quiet. The food has a absolute insane performance which made me get out of the my comfort zone and eat some newer things! Love this restaurant and hope it gives a bigger shine in New York!
Located in the Summit One Vanderbilt skyscraper.
Vegetarian options: Marked with a vegetarian symbol I believe.

Excellent. Won't blow your socks off and it is nothing new, but what they do they do technically, perfectly. Flavors are clean, well developed, and the cook on the proteins are on point.
Great for a low key high end french leaning dinner. Desserts just a step below - again, still good but not on par with the other dishes.

Located right next to the Grand Central Terminal, Le Pavillion offers exceptional food with creative and modern twists. The vibe is fancy but relaxed, with its greenery and bright lighting, making it perfect for a special occasion. However, if you compare the ambiance to other restaurants of the same caliber, it is on the casual side as opposed to formal and ritzy. Though, the staff were all extremely friendly and brought the experience to another level.
In terms of food, we, unfortunately, were not very hungry and opted for the 3-course a la carte menu instead of the traditional degustation menu. While we were a little skeptical about the a la carte menu and didn't know what to expect, seeing as it was our first time ordering in such a fashion, it was an exceptional experience. Practically the same as the other course menus but with more volume and fewer dishes.
Bottom line, food was great, especially the top-notch desserts curated by the Japanese pastry chef. Really high quality (same goes for the rest of the food) and not too sweet.
In terms of drinks, the wine list was extensive and excellent, albeit listed at a higher than usual price. Unfortunately, as I only had the 3-course a la carte, I was not able to delve deeper into the wine-tasting experience.
Overall, a solid restaurant if you're looking for a not too formal fine dining experience. Would recommend.

Had the privilege of dining there last week and it was very good. I only gave 4 stars because we also dined at Le Bernardin (5 stars) and while Pavillon was superb it is not in the same category. The room and space and ambience are very nice. The food was very good and the service was exceptional. My lobster was undercooked, which I realize can be tricky because overcooked is a problem as well. I let my server know when she came to retrieve my plate and while apologetic they didn't attempt to make any amends. I'm ok with this: I'm just stating it as it happened and a reason for 4 stars. I suspect it will garner a Michelin star in it's first year which is no small feat. In my view it is not as good as the flagship Daniel but still worth visiting especially if you enjoy seafood.

Our experience at Le Pavillon was overall nice. The yellowfin tuna, foie gras, dry-aged beef, and scallops were nothing short of exquisite. However, the lamb and desserts left something to be desired, falling short of the high standard set by the rest of the meal.
A minor misstep occurred when our request, communicated at the time of booking, was overlooked. This ignorance was disappointing, especially given the significance of the occasion. Nonetheless, the impeccable in-house service turned my mood around in the end.

The Best of NYC. Excellent quality products in an incredible atmosphere with a direct view of the Chrysler. Before or after the meal, don’t forget the One Summit experience… for an unforgettable evening!!

Dined her tonight for my mother’s birthday. We really enjoyed the food. Cuisine was fresh, bold, and truly wonderful.
We also enjoyed the restaurants decor- romantic, comfortable, as though you were sitting in a courtyard in the middle of 42nd street.
My only critique of the establishment would be the service. For a Boulud restaurant (I have dined at many of his other establishments), I found the service to be sub-par. Plenty of staff on hand, just not over attentive as you would hope in a Michelin Star restaurant.
All in all though we would love to return!

Today I want to treat myself. I have never eaten high-end French cuisine, and my mind was blowing away ! When I got there, they helped me choose the wine. I had a hard time understanding the menu since I had never seen that combination of food put together before (my ignorance). I ordered octopus for appetizer and monkfish as a main course. I wanted to cry because of how delicious the food was. As I saw the people around me talking about business and not paying attention to what they were eating, I was getting mad inside myself. However, then I understood that as a person who was experiencing French cuisine for the first time, they were probably just used to that type of food. I wished I could stop everyone and say, "Please stop talking and pay attention to your food." There is so much love, passion, and perfection that everyone should just stop talking when the food arrives, close their eyes, and enjoy the food. It's 100% worth it! Thank you for this amazing food experience!

Eden exists on Vanderbilt. Le Pavillon uses a garden as a place to pause and be elevated into a gastronomic utopia with unrivaled service and a crescendo of curated courses that create a zen symphony like no other you will experience. The creativity of the food was intricate, balanced and inexplicably superb. Frankly, the foremost private dining experience in Manhattan. Service and kitchen orchestration flowed like a stream in this secret garden with harmonious synchronization. Outside the garden path is the soaring views of the iconic Chrysler Building and Grand Central Terminal through the three story windows framing these New York City landmarks.
We were fortunate enough to be in the magical hands of Latina who was the perfect ambassador for this journey. The cherry on top was getting to meet the Chef and his incredible brigade who have undoubtedly placed Le Pavillon on a path to become a legendary destination and a MUST for anyone looking to experience the extraordinary.

The meals are reasonably priced and the service is very good, all the waiters are very kind and polite and explain each dish in detail. There are many plants in the restaurant, and the atmosphere is relaxed and not too formal.

The space is gorgeous, food is plated beautifully but the flavor was uninspiring. All top quality ingredients but just lacking simple things like food being served at least warm. We have dined at many Daniel Boulud restaurants over the years including DANIEL, which is absolutely exquisite, Cafe Boulud, also amazing, Boulud Sud - Miami, inventive and db Bistro Moderne which was always our go to for our first night after flying into NYC for a casual but delicious meal. Service at Le Pavillon was very attentive but each course came out immediately after the previous course was removed. I do not like to be so rushed while dining. In France the dining pace would not be acceptable at all. We have dined all over the world and this one is not on our list of top dining spots until it gets some fine tuning. I have a list of suggested refinements but too many to list here. So many others gave great reviews for Le Pavillon, so maybe the Friday night we were there the kitchen was not executing the typical top Boulud standard we would expect.

I wanted to give the restaurant a better review. This has nothing to do with the food. The food was amazing. Everything else was lacking though. They were very accommodating with allergies, which was a huge plus for me.
I was expecting a lot more from the restaurant. I was underwhelmed by the ambiance. It looks much better in photos. The crowd seemed very touristy. I wonder if they have regulars. I imagine it is a one and done place. Even though the food was phenomenal, because of the service and experience, we won’t be going back. We went for my friend’s birthday, and they did give her candles, which was a nice touch.
We had a different server every time. We ordered a bottle of wine, but were often left without wine or water in our glass. The restaurant wasn’t packed so I’m not sure what the servers were doing. I was unsure what we were eating, and it would have been nice if we had been given a detailed description. Whenever we were served, they quickly mumbled what it was and left. I would strongly recommend more training for staff. If it wasn’t for the Boulud name, I don’t think this restaurant would still be around. Unless things drastically change, I don’t expect it to be around next year.
It is in a weird location. The view when you are walking up the stairs is very pretty, but once you are seated, you are staring out onto 42nd street at a Chick-fil-a.
Dietary restrictions: I have a shellfish and peanut allergy, and they were able to substitute.
