Excellent service and excellent suite room. As a globalist, had wonderful in room dining for breakfast which was perfect during the cold winter mornings. Appreciated the kind staff. Only complaint is the open shower situation - there is no shower door so water inevitable splashes out of the shower. However, since the rest of the stay was so great, still rate it 5/5.
NYC really is a town where your activities govern the best location to stay. Thompson has terrific transport access for uptown, downtown, east and west. However it is especially good for theater, museums and shopping. If you want a park view room you will have to pay extra for both a higher floor and a view. Great hotel with very clean rooms and a helpful, friendly staff. Loved that the hotel provided umbrellas because we definitely needed them during our entire stay. Bellman was especially kind and helpful.
