I flew in at 1 am on Friday and out at 10 am Sunday. There were 3 employees in the lobby when I arrived who made me feel safe. Room keys are checked for entrance. I ordered pizza at 2 am and it came within 20 minutes. It was really good pizza — high quality. I forgot tooth paste and they brought it right away. House keeping’s attention to detail in my room was a great touch. I truly enjoyed my stay!! 50k points was well worth it to me.

We enjoyed our king suite. Very spacious and accommodated three of us comfortably. Would stay again. The food was very good for breakfast. The secret Burger Joint looked awesome but, unfortunately, we didn’t have time to try it. Next time!

The Thompson Central Park Hotel has beautiful rooms, lobby, bar, and overall ambience, as well as great customer service--kind, professional, and efficient staff members. It's midtown location is super convenient for walking to many museums, theaters, restuarants, subway lines and Central Park.

I had an incredible experience at the Thompson Central Park Hotel in NYC. The exceptional staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, particularly when our flight was unexpectedly canceled. Their willingness to assist and make us feel at home during a stressful situation was truly commendable. The hotel's prime location near Central Park added an extra layer of convenience and beauty to our trip. The team's attention to our needs and the warm atmosphere they created made our stay unforgettable. Kudos to the entire staff for their outstanding service!

We have stayed at the Thompson hotel multiple times and the staff is great. They have a great bar and a burger joint in the place that’s amazing. Friendly staff and wonderful location for shopping and sightseeing, subway access to everything.

Friendly staff, plenty of amenities, and that Burger Joint(Best burger in NYC). The view out of my room wasn't that great, but that isn't the point of a hotel. Will definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in toen.

Perfect hotel to stay in when visiting New York! Everything was either a 10-15 minute walk or max, a 30 minute subway ride. Best part was it was the perfect walk to Time Square, lots of restaurants around as well! They also play live music Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at their restaurant, and room service is basically 24/7!

Can't recommend this hotel enough to my friends. An amazing location, with great food and service. The room is spacious and because I booked directly, I also received extra credit for meals. Would definitely return for future stays.

Stayed here for a business trip, used to stay here when it was the Parker, which I loved, wasn't sure what to expect since it had been taken over by Hyatt. They exceeded my expectations and kept the quality and service I was accustomed to from the Parker.

Came over for 4 nights and got a great BA Holiday Promo rate. Room on 19th floor was huge by New York standards, beautifully decorated and had every mod con you’d hope for inc a fridge. You got 2 bottles of water daily. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower and great water pressure. Housekeeping were brilliant and checked to make sure room clean. I normally stay more Times Square between 42-48th street but was going to Lincoln Centre a few nights and location on 7th/West 56th was perfect just a street away from Carnegie Hall and 2 from Central Park/Columbus Circle. Some great eateries inc 2 great Diners within a few streets - Brooklyn Diner and Carnegie Diner & Cafe. Such variety I’d happily have eaten there all the time. Carnegie Diner does a 2 course pre theatre for $29.95 and portions huge. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

We travelled as a family of 6 and had entry level Connected rooms. The rooms were bigger than we had anticipated and the hotel is very centrally located. We had breakfast included and thought the quality of food in Parkers was excellent. Special mention to Paul and Erlando the breakfast waiters who were amazing with our children (even a private magic show!) and generally provided excellent service.

We had a wonderful stay at the Thompson Central Park. The hotel has been completely refurbished and modernized since our last visit to the Parker. The room was clean and comfortable, nice size for a NY hotel. Service from everyone we encountered was five star. And the location can't be beat. Will definitely stay here again.

I booked a weekend stay here using Hyatt points. Had I paid cash (at the time of booking $500+ per night which with resort fees, taxes etc would have been more than $600 per night, ) I’d be much more disappointed. The room itself is decent with a well-functioning ac/heat system (always of prime concern to me.) We had a standard room with a king-sized bed on the 14th floor. It had a large couch beneath the window and lots of space for a nyc hotel room. I appreciated the custom designed shelving beneath and around the tv. This bookcase had two large drawers for putting away clothes. There were also many usb and standard electric plugs throughout the room, which made for easy and convenient charging. The view wasn’t particularly inspiring. We looked directly across an alley to the hotel next door, which meant our shades were down most of the time. However, from bed we had a decent view across a nearby rooftop. The bathroom again was decent. We had a walk-in shower with average water-pressure, and the ever-so-euro-trendy half wall of glass. it functioned well enough, but certainly wasn’t particularly comfortable or luxurious. The bed linens and bath towels were of pretty good quality and the bed was very comfortable. Lighting was fine. There were hardwood floors with a rug around the bed. I am not a fan of wood floors in a hotel and these felt particularly cheap. There was very little closet space with no room to store luggage. Luggage could not fit under the bed or couch, so had to be stored in the room in plain view. Service was inconsistent. There was no mention of my Hyatt Discoverist status, nor mention of a room upgrade at checkin. I had to call down after checkin to ask if I was entitled to premium internet (which when signing up says there was a $10 charge.) The young woman at the desk was not sure if I’d be charged or not. I wasn’t. The doorman/valet seemed completely indifferent when guests arrived. However, service in the restaurant was excellent on both mornings and we left him an additional tip to the 20% added to the check. The morning of checkout I used the hotel’s phone system to dial down to “valet/parking” in order to ask for my car to be brought up from the garage (valet hotel parking is $75 per night.) “Valet/parking” seemed like the logical choice to call for my car. The doorman who answered rudely informed me to call the front desk to ask for my car. Really? We did. When we came down 10 minutes later our car wasn’t there, and the doorman had no idea if it had been requested. Really? Biggest problem at this hotel is their elevators. They use an awful automated system that directs you to a particular elevator based on the room floor you hit when calling the elevator. Unfortunately, the system doesn’t know how many people are in your group or if you are a bellman with a huge cart of luggage. There was almost always a line to get in an elevator, and if you couldn’t fit in the one assigned to you, you had to hit the button again and start the process over. silly. Also, due to the sale of condos in the building, there are only 3 elevators serving hotel guests. It is not enough. It was a decent stay, but we will probably opt for another hotel in the future.

Nicely updated hotel but the double rooms are tiny. The beds are more like twins than double beds so do t even think about staying here if you have more than 2 in your room. If they could upgrade the rooms to queen beds it would be an excennebt choice.
