Who does not love tonkatsu! I wish I can go back to Japan to try again their tonkatsu, but this restaurant is so close to it! Location: It is located in E 45th St, pretty close to Grand Central Station. The interior is af course Japanese inside, due to covid limited seatings are allowed. They have outdoor seating too! Service: due to COVID, I ordered online and pick it up and no interaction with the crew! Food: Their Tonkatsus are the beast, pretty close to what I ate in Japan....read full review
Best tonkatsu place in NY. Also my favorite Japanese spot. This is a no tips restaurant. Currently due to the pandemic, they are offering huge discounts on alcohol. Order some to go!You can never go wrong with their curries and pork Katsu.

Everything from the food to the atmosphere is the closest you will get to an authentic tonkatsu restaurant in Japan. Little touches like the model food in the window as you go in, the large laminated menu with overly stylized pictures of the food, and the pile of shredded cabbage that comes with your katsu make it feel like the real deal.
