This restaurant is not to be missed. Everything was delicious! The waiter was friendly and attentive. Tables available both inside and outside. I would definitely return in the area! Just a block from the NYC Transit museum.

Delightful as always. It wasn't too busy on a weekday and our food came super fast. The pancakes were lush.

Turkey sandwich was over cooked and portions very small. Cost 22$. Outrageous. Took back and they replaced but no indication in menu that u could have the turkey cold or heated. Spoke to manager who was very amenable and courteous. Suggested should note in menu either hot or cold can be served. Portions were also very small. Ate there before and no problem. Staff issue must be addressed. Manager refunded my money very graciously without me asking. Hopefully things will change. 22$ is a lot to pay. Meat was tender and tasty.Vegetarian options: Not much in the line of vegetation dishes. I don’t eat red meat but do eat chicken and fish. Vegetarian options would be a plus. More and more people are not eating meat.

Having grown up in Montreal, I was skeptical about finding quality smoked meat in Brooklyn. But their smoked meat sandwich was one of the best, and their poutine was absolutely the best I've ever had. I don't think I've ever tasted gravy so fresh! Highly recommend!

I really love this place a few years back. Use to go here every weekend when I use to live around the area. I order a smoke meat hash and always hits the spot. But lately everytime I go back the smoke meat hash feels more like eggs and potatoes now. There's hardly any meat anymore wich is kinda sad.

Don’t order a gift certificate. The email address of the recipient was wrong. Theypromised multiple times to correct it. They never did. The gift never arrived. They were consistently rude - and uncaring- and never kept their promises. I’ve been a good customer since they opened - but it’s better to eat Oscar Mayer baloney than deal with their baloney. As we say when we deal with stinkers- “FEH!!!!!”.

Mile End is one of our favorite restaurants in Boerum Hill and is always an enjoyable time - strong recommend. The matzo ball soup, corned beef reuben, and smaller noshes (cucumber salad, potato salad) are consistently strong and make for a great lunch. The staff in general are cheerful, helpful, and attentive. We almost always feel very welcome there.I say “almost” because there is one gentleman in the front of house who is inexplicably angry and rude, almost every time we go.One time another server sat us in a booth and he went out of his way to make us get up (the booth was just left empty when we left). Another time we walked in to ask for a table and he angrily told us he had already said there would be a wait (we had literally just walked in the door).I assume he’s an owner since I can’t imagine a business keeping someone this hostile to guests around, but it’s also possible this is somehow part of a quirky charm that is just lost on us.Will always come back. Will bring friends and loved ones. Would definitely recommend avoiding the furious dude with white hair who is determined to treat you like garbage.
