Catfish was super CRUNCHY and succulent. Loved it. Mac and cheese, yams and collard greens were all delicious. This place stands apart from the other soul food restaurants in NYC. I am now switching to Miss Mamie's for my usual catfish meal each weekend.
I wanted turkey wings. They were out. I tried the ribs as an alternative. BOY BOY BOY. The ribs were delicious!
Not sure who the cook was ... but a gold medal needs to be issued.

Miss Mamie's is my regular restaurant when I go to New York with Mental Health and Social Care groups. We usually eat there on the first and last evening of the trip. Jerk Chicken and Candeed Yams are my favorite dishes. I never skip that. And of course I bought the cookbook by the owner, Norma Darden. I feel like a regular at home and as happy as a child when I walk in again. A trip without Spoonbread is not a successful trip. Once you've had the main meal, ask them...
