Quality has gone way down. The Saba Bozushi is disgusting. When it was first introduced, it was amazing, delicious smokey taste and well balanced seasoning. Now it tastes so fishy that it makes me want to vomit.
The omakase is also disappointing. For this tier of sushi place, the fish should not be chewy and sinewy.
Fried calamari is tough and batter is too hard.
Avocado roll and salmon pate roll were the star of the meal. Avocado was very creamy and the salmon pate was yummy.

The restaurant doesn't advertise itself as a limited time sitting on the counter but if it happens to be a busy night they oversell spots and they rush costumers. We got the longest menus and we have been told to order extra if you want, a little later the rude hostess came and told us we have to leave since they have costumers waiting. I took my wife there for her birthday dinner and spent around 600 dollar and got rushed in a very rude way. So this is not a cheaper version of the real Noz next door this place is an over priced one hour or little more sitting restaurant with the name Noz. I won't go back. Food was good and server was nice.
We came here last week to celebrate my friend's birthday and, honestly, it was disappointing. The omakase itself was fine — decent quality, but nothing memorable or particularly special for the price. The counter only had six guests at a ten-seat setup, which made the whole experience feel quiet and lacking in energy. The most disappointing part was the service. I asked for a small candle so my friend could celebrate her birthday — even offered to purchase anything they could bring it with — but since they had already served the lemon ice “dessert” (which was hard and almost inedible), they refused. The staff were curt and unaccommodating, which really soured the evening. If you're hoping for a warm, celebratory omakase experience, this isn't it. Don't expect any proper dessert either — just a tiny scoop of icy sorbet that's impossible to eat. Overall, overrated and not worth the hype.
Great hand rolls but the staff needs to relax. They are super intense about getting out as fast as possible. I mean… you are standing at a bar with no chairs. How long do they think one will stay? They push hard to get you out, to the point where they no joke asked 4x if we were finish go tell us tha we “could lay whenever we were ready” with beer and other beverages in front of us that we had not yet finished… go but eat slowly and tell to relax and it will be a great experience. Do NOT let them rush you. Also, order as you go! If you order everything at the beginning they will serve you as fast as possible. To the point where you haven’t even finished your last bite of the previous roll and here comes the next one…. If the quality of the rolls wasn’t as good as it is at a fair price this would no doubt be a one star review.
Fish is just ok. Rather pay higher price for better quality or lower price for better value.
I went to the hand roll bar during happy hour. The food was fantastic, but I had to ask to get my hand rolls 3 times before they were made for me. Meanwhile, I watched the other 4 people at the sushi bar get their food without issue. It really made me feel invisible. They need a better system to keep track of orders.

One of the best meals of my year!! Subtle, detailed, and beautiful omakase with an interesting and knowledgeable team.
It's ridiculous that they charge you $20 if one person in your party of four had to cancel at the last minute when the rest of the party was there and spent a lot of money!
Everything was exceptional - the service, the atmosphere, the attention to detail, and of course, the food. Three of us had the Chef’s omakase experience, and it was like watching mesmerizing performance art. A fantastic experience all around.

Noz 17 has a more intimate atmosphere which I wish noz kitchen had the same feel. There were babies making noises and fathers standing around holding the baby which was not as relaxing as I would prefer for a sushi counter. I don't mind spirited conversations with the other guests but it's not as coherent with babies and strollers next to you while trying to enjoy the fabulous sushi.

Though we had a nice experience, the fish was not as good as you would expect for the price.
It was overall great. The food is exquisite. Classic in style. The service was great too. The only thing might be the value for money - it's expensive and the meal is rather small.
It's in general a good restaurant, good fish quality! But we had some issues of a hair in the sushi, fortunately we had that plate scratched from the bill.
The food is good, but the amount is quite small. but the service provided by the chef and the waiter is quite hurry. As a guest, I feel I somehow felt pushed to eat food ASAP. Also, the sparking water is not free ($12), which was not clearly mentioned before serving to us. The lowest tip suggested is 20% - this is quite high compared to the service provided.
Fantastic fish. Weird vibe. Fish is precut and ready for assembly. No feel from Chef and hurried pace. If felt pretentious
