Service here is amazing. Food is also very unique and seriously delicious. I tried Oiji bowl and chili lobster and both were amazing. I deduct two stars because def the portion is almost comical specially since it's not a fine dining restaurant. There were maybe only two small pieces of lobster in a small bowl of noodle and very tiny oiji bowl. I still almost loved my food and I will probably go back to try some other dish. So you should def try it but keep in mind that portions are much smaller than you think.

Most the dishes are amazing and surprising, the bone marrow with beef is too salty. The drinks are great

Was really looking forward to trying this spot, but was pretty underwhelmed with the food itself and disappointed in the lack of flexibility in removing allergens from dishes (specifically shellfish - there was oyster sauce in everything, sadly). All in all great service, but the food portions are mainly just way too small for their $ worth.

The ambiance was really great! It feels super cozy and great for a night out dining with your girlfriends or boyfriends. Just a heads up, you should make a reservation in advance as it can get super packed. My favorite was definitely the chili lobster noodles dish. Overall, my experience was pleasant.

DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the bone marrow short rib, chili lobster, and waygu beef.

There were four of us at dinner on a rainy Saturday night and we were very glad to be in one of the outdoor dining cubicles - warm, cozy, and quiet. Service was extremely warm and efficient, our only complaint being that we felt (as we always do) that we were being urged to order too many dishes (two per person). We are not dainty eaters, but enough is enough. What we did have we thoroughly enjoyed - drinks to start, then a bottle of the Ott Riesling, which we love, with the tiger shrimp, the oxtail, the ssam with extra wraps, the mushroom salad (always my favorite, so ordered two) and the fried cauliflower. Everything was, as always, perfectly prepared.

Wow this place was PERFECTION. - all four dishes were superb! My favorites were the oiji bowl and mushroom salad. I loved the chili lobster and but the duckling felt a little too rich and buttery for me. - the staff was very attentive and knew the dishes very well - our total was 140$ after tip - I went with my mother and we were both very full and satisfied after these four dishes! - I would recommend this place for dates can't wait to come back - the menu is small, but the quality of the food is incredible and each dish has many different layers of flavor and texture. You will enjoy a visit to Oiji!

Oiji service was excellent! Seamless reservation and seating :) The servers were constantly refilling our waters and checking in. 5/5 The food was overall tasty. My friend and I ordered 4 dishes between the two of us. We ordered wagyu special (off menu), baby octopus, chili lobster, and Long Island duckling. The wagyu special ($32) was underwhelming unfortunately. While the showmanship of scorching the wagyu at your table is exciting, the lukewarm temperature was a little off putting when we had it. The baby octopus was really good, charred and crispy; sauce was rich with a hint of citrus. One of my favorites was the chili lobster; it is a cold noodle dish but I felt like the noodles were so juicy and chewy. It strikes me as an elevated mentaiko cream pasta. My friend's favorite dish was the Long Island duckling which she described as juicy! I think it was a nice little dish. Not gamey, not overly cooked/chewy. Comes atop of some rice I think. But as it was the last dish, I was already getting full so I didn't have as much. I think this is a nice date restaurant! An intimate, dark, romantic spot that is a little more expensive if you're trying to impress but not too hard.

The food here was really good. I had the Shiso Fancy cocktail (which was very delicious). Food we had the foie Gras, Cauliflower, Chili Lobster, Oxtail and the Ssam Platter. Surprisingly the Cauliflower stood out a lot to me. But everything else tasted super good. Ssam Platter is a must to fill you up haha, the plating can be very tiny. We ended with the honey butter icecream and it was soooooo good. Warm honey butter chips on top of vanilla ice cream. Perfect combo of sweet/salty and cold/hot. The waiters were super attentive and provided an amazing experience. The food was expensive but I think it's worth going for special occasions or when you feel especially indulgent.

I have been to OIJI twice. I sat inside for the first time, the restaurant is very small and crowded, the food was ok. The second time I chose outside diner, and everything was not very ok, the food and the service. Anyway, I recommend first try on.

Went to Oiji with high expectations and it definitely met all of them! If you’re looking for a fantastic small-plate, Korean inspired restaurant this is a must stop. We shared about 5 plates between three people, with a side of kimchi and sticky rice. We ordered the cauliflower, tiger shrimp, mushroom salad, bone marrow, and the Long Island duck! Our favorite bite was definitely the cauliflower, I highly recommend it! I know that I will be dragging more friends here the next time I’m in NYC.

Very vibey Korean fusion restaurant that's fun for small groups. We found them through TikTok, and there is definitely a “show” element to most of their dishes (esp. the wagyu special they had that day which they rendered with a torch). IMO I think that's 30% of the deal, because while the taste was good and worth it didn't wow us. Between our table was a plexiglass divider that had these weird feet, and since it was really dark my friend tripped over it. I also bumped into it when I sat down. If I was the owner I would change them out for maybe ceiling hung ones since seating is tight and I can see them as being a hazard to others.
