Don't know why this is not a 5 star reviewed restaurant. It is some of the best food in NYC. The deck is great and the service is great.

Veggie burrito from lunch back window is yum.

Solid Spanish food! Stands out from Chipotle and the rest and is better. Also very decent pricing for Midtown.

The staff is friendly and courteous. I had the chicken tacos and it wasn't as good as some street tacos I get a few blocks uptown. The chicken was dry, 1 tortilla per taco (taco trucks usually give 2) the lime juice gave it some flavor though. I wouldn't go back for the tacos.

Our office is nearby and Pampano is on heavy rotation, my staffs favorite lunch spot by far. For Midtown East business district their prices are more than fair. The Guacamole is superb, made by hand, chunky and perfectly seasoned without over spicing. Their fish, shrimp, chicken and chilorio tacos are all perfect whether on soft flour or corn tortillas. Their rice and beans are also terrific. Direct delivery service is always fast and reliable and the folks who work there are a pleasure to deal with. Vamos al Pampano Taqueria!

This place does not disappoint. Go with the specials. Solid but not fancy fish tacos. Enjoy! It was tricky to find at first (it's on the lower concourse), but now I've been here a handful of times for lunch. The food always tastes fresh and delicious here. They have their usual roster of tacos and burritos but also do daily specials, which are super creative. I dig these - alot. They also have a good selection of authentic Mexican drinks. The line can get pretty long here during lunch time, so head over on the earlier side - especially if you're looking to find a seat in the general seating area. My only knock is that the fish tacos are pretty plain - I always expect stuff like cabbage slaw, cilantro-lime dressing, etc. but these are pretty straight to the point and have very little else going on.

Found this place through Ritual. It is a small taqueria in the basement. There is another restaurant by the same name upstairs - Pampano and so I naturally stopped by there first looking for my lunch bag much to their surprise :) I had ordered their popular Al Pastor Burrito bowl and liked it. Portion size was good. Sauces could have been better but the food was delicious enough for me and so did not use the sauces.
Had the fish taco, nice chunk of fish with what seemed to be a Sriracha/mayo sauce. No cabbage or anything else. $4 seemed too much but it's the city. I pay 1.75 a taco by my house. They don't have fish which is why I gave it a try but I don't think I'll go back.

When i'm looking for mexican food, THIS is my go to place. Great options and one of the only place i can find my favorite - TORTAS! I have my go to - vegetarian - and i'm always pleased. I recently tried their enchiladas -- yum. Love them! A great place!!

Delicious lunch here. Surprisingly flavorful salsas that you can pump into a little cup. I love spicy everything but my favorite of these was the mildest green one. They had a wide selection of protein options you could fill into a taco or burrito. I opted for the pork with pineapple burrito and thank absolute GOD I did because this was the best burrito I've had in a long time. It reminded me very much of the burritos in Cali. $13 and change got me a nice sized burrito, rice, beans, chips and a soda. Average for midtown and worth every penny. Delicious. This is for the location in the food court of the office building, not the restaurant around the corner. The food court has ample seating, lovely light and a live piano player. It may have been the best food court experience of my life.

*Only commenting on the takeout location (not the restaurant). The burritos here are inSANE! I usually get the chicken burrito for lunch and it never disappoints. It's comes in a pretty decent size and it surprises me that I'm about to stuff the whole thing in my tummy. It's that good! It comes with free chips and sauces (hot or mild) that you get to pump it yourself. The chips are soooo goodd as well. Make sure to get their weekly special fresh juices! Super refreshing and so worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Do NOT do it. Awful! Got delivery. Was late. Was cold. They left out 75% of the items! They gave me a rice burrito instead of the fish burrito I ordered. Their phone went to some weird recording. The torta was the only correct item and was not good at all. You've been warned.
