Decently priced drinks, friendly staff, and a place you can enjoy your meal, drink, and time without an overly loud environment.

food was ok. the service was, if anything, less than poor and definitely won’t come back again. took more than half an hour for a soda to be served and more than an hour for ANY food to come. not even to mention the cockroaches running on the patio deck. very disappointed

Just an annoying experience took a while like 2-3 hours, around an hour for food to come out servers messed up drink orders , had to go in to get it fixed and they were laughing about it and got charged for the fixed drink, there was a cockroach running along the outside deck, but it’s outside I understand not much you can do about that, food was great though would recommend the octopus

We stopped in for an early dinner on a Saturday and enjoyed everything! We shared the variety of spreads with pita (possibly the best tzatziki I've had in the US). I had the Classic Pappardelle Bolognese and my wife enjoyed the Greek Salad topped with Salmon.

Totally trashy food that has nothing to do with authentic Greek cuisine! The dolmades are horridShrimp saganaki the same the meatballs are in red sauce which the chef most probably uses for the shrimp saganaki everything we’ve tasted was simply trash! The waitress needs to go home she is sarcastic we ordered one drink and we received it towards the end of our meal which btw left half of it and the reason we had some is because we were starving!Bad service bad food don’t throw your money I’m sorry about the owner he should fire the chef !I'm Greek and a big foodie I have eaten in the best restaurants around the world, this food is not Greek and not outstanding!

My friend and I had dinner at Pathos Cafe last night and everything was perfect - the ambiance, the food and the service! The food was delicious and the portions were also very generous. We shared the sesame salad, lemon potatoes, tuna tartare and octopus along with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and some glasses of prosecco for dessert! Special thank you to Victoria and Gonzalo for the fabulous, attentive, friendly service. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood!

Had lunch at Pathos today...here are my thoughts: Service was friendly and efficient. Kudos especially to the nice male server who tried to resolve our food issue (below). Ambiance: the restaurant is small but cozy and nicely appointed. Food: Not great. I ordered a Greek salad ($19) and added shrimp ($9). What I received was 3 small, cold shrimp on a salad I can get at any corner deli. For $28 this was really disappointing. On the plus side my husband had a chicken sandwich and a side of brussels sprouts and enjoyed both. Overall: I was pretty disappointed the restaurant did nothing to resolve my disappointing meal. The nice male server went back to the manager and explained my request for more protein (I could hear and see the entire exchange) and the manager declined to do anything to remedy the situation "because I had already eaten the 3 shrimp." Since my go-to Greek restaurants (Avra, Limani, and Eros) serve far better food at a similar price point I have no plan to return to Pathos again.

The weather is getting warmer so that means time for the lovely Pathos Cafe outdoor seating. Lately I've just been getting takeout. We love this place. The food we've eaten so far has been excellent and we're looking forward to many meals here in the next few months. The pizzas are great, especially the one with the abundance of vegetables. Also, don't tell them but their hummus is not only one of my favorites in the city, but for just eight dollars you get an enormous portion. I hope they don't reduce the portion if they read this review! Actually all the dips are a great value. My girlfriend always orders the salmon. It's a little pricey but she loves it and the portion is big enough to take half home for dinner the next day. So it's totally worth it. We love the garden as it's on the side street and feels very safe to eat there.

Pathos outdoor seating is perfect, on the side street as opposed to bustling 1st Avenue, pretty pink flower arrangements around the structure so you don't feel like you're sitting in a box and if you go on an off time you might just have the place to yourselves. A word to my stroller moms, it's not super suitable for big strollers but they do have a couple tables outside the booth if you're traveling with your LO. On to the food, it's marketed as Greek but they do have a plenty of American/Italian options, for instance they have a Pizza section. I am NEVER I repeat NEVER one to order salads but the Avocado Salad + Chicken is one that I'll get every time. Huge pieces of Avocado and so much Chicken. It pricey but ends up being a 2 mealer easily.

Overall good spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch; prices/portions fair and food quality was good. The waitress was on her own but she was still managing to stay upbeat which was impressive!

Because of the flimsy, plywood construction, I’m not a fan of street side dining in NYC. However, this restaurant’s outdoor space is appealing, even with all of the tacky, fake flowers. With the outdoor dining space being on a quiet side street, there is less danger of an errant car mowing you down while eating. The food options, especially for an afternoon meal are ideal, and inside or out, it’s a comfortable place to spend time with friends and family.

Should be called pathetic, I walked in from a black tie affair suit and tie Etc, was going to have lunch and I asked to use the restroom and the idiotic woman behind the counter says "sorry sir this is for customers only in a really rude tone..I won't be back To this pit.
