The pizza is ok at best. But you dont have any other option for pizza on Roosevelt Island.

First time on Roosevelt Island. While Queens and Manhattan are close, a good local slice is a must, and Piccolo delivers.

I’m a vegan (pictured), but the wife had a regular slice and was impressed, as was I. My slice was fresh out of the oven (vegan individual slices not available). But it had the chew/crunch/fold of a reheated slice, which was impressive.

Vegan cheese solid, they use the Trader Joe’s cashew which I use at home. Good melt and flavor (a regular started bringing it in himself and then they started stocking it).

If I lived here, they would know me by name.

No frills but clean seating and clean bathroom.

Would 100% recommend.

The owner’s behavior is consistently unprofessional — both in his treatment of employees and his interactions with customers. Staff are spoken to in a demeaning tone, and guests are often met with unnecessary rudeness or indifference. It’s deeply concerning for a service-driven business. One can only hope that tip capping isn’t part of the equation, though it wouldn’t be surprising given the atmosphere of control and disrespect.

Food & service were great, we got a personal pizza and mozzarella sticks, both were excellent and hit the spot for lunch. Carter was sweet and gave us great service. Also love their outdoor seating!

Don’t take orders if you can’t keep up. Specially on a busy day. To have someone wait beyond 30 minutes for an order and have a bunch of people coming in and out all because you can’t keep track of orders is simply not okay. I watched as my chicken roll was made 20 minutes after I order and then I still had to wait. That is simply unacceptable. Figure out a better system for busy days.

Fresh, hot, and fast service.

I ordered a personal meat lover pizza, very disappointed ☹️. Crusty, but super salty, almost no meat and barely no toppings at all. Too generous on cheap tomato sauce. All for 15$ ! If you have a chance , consider to avoid the place 🥴

My research of places to eat in the area ahead of time led me to be very eager to try Piccolo Trattoria. It looked super cute and YUM. Huge portions, I ate every single bite and still have no regrets about that. I ordered the Gnocci with bolognese sauce, side Caesar and (duh) wine. Everything was everything and if this place was in my neighborhood, I would be there every week. Lizzie was my waitress and she was the sweetest. I love how nice she was about my enthusiasm for it all. ;)

Good, good, good... Come here and enjoy.

A peaceful and delightful place on an island, close to Manhattan. It is worth it. Tasty food and great service. Good value for money.

The chicken roll wasn’t my favorite 3 out of 5 Garlic nots was good 4 out of 5. Cuz one side had lots of garlic and one side was just bread
