This spot never disappoints. They serve fantastic dishes for reasonable prices, there no long wait even when they are packed.

This spot is worth trying. They have big portions for convenient prices. Always clean and with good atmosphere. Will visit here again.

Fast service. They don't require tip. Good authentic Japanese food. Love the beef tongue. And the fish. Definitely will come back again soon!

Was looking for a delicious place to go after going to see a musical and found this delightful place. Authentic Japanese food, stuff that I haven't seen much outside of Japan. The food was flavorful and deliciously hot. Service was great - attentive but giving space. There are more intimate tables areas available, but we sat at the bar. Would go back 100%%%

Great little homey restaurant right near Grand Central and marking the start of Japan consolate row. I've only had drinks here along with an omelett over rice (which was absolutely amazing) and found it very pleasant. It's a quiet mom-and-pop type of spot and it's nice to still see these places around Manhattan.

Oishi - great tasting food. Went there after midnight and it was bustling. Great place. Had my okhonomiyaki fix. Loved every bit of it.

Food: 4.0/5.0 Service: 4.0/5.0 Value: 3.5/5.0 Decor: 3.0/5.0 Overall: 4.0/5.0 Service was demure but friendly. Service 4.0/5.0 is admittedly a bit inflated, but I really appreciate the no-tip policy. Headline menu prices are a bit aggressive, but reasonable given the policy. Lots of small plates, and everything was pretty good, especially the garlic beef and salmon collar. Would come back.

I had the seafood sashimi rice bowl which had generous portions and really fresh raw fish. My favorite is the salmon. The dragon roll and salmon avocado roll were great too. Efficient and fast service to boot!

This is my go to Izakaya in NYC, I've been going here since teenage years with my friends (no alcohol back then of course) to this date as an office worker. Their service is always great, food is unconditionally deciduous, and I always leave with a happy soul. Their pricing is very reasonable and they don't charge tips.

A business colleague and I had dinner here. It was a variety of sushi rolls along with some beer and sake. Great meal and great price.

The reviews are spot on: from the outside, Riki looks like it's a run-down, possibly decrepit little place. However, one step inside and you realize that it's a bustling and VERY authentic. Almost all of the patrons here seemed to be Japanese. My friend and I split 4 skewers, sake, clams, and gingko nuts (!) - I was taken aback by the boba-like consistency and nutty flavor, but glad I tried it. The food was not particularly cheap, but it was quite filling. This is a great little spot that you can add to your Midtown East Japanese food gems (the only decent food you can get around this neighborhood, in my opinion).

Food is generally sweet here. Some dishes are delicious (mentaiko udon) and some are just interesting. But overall food is on the sweeter side. Draft beer is one of the top - so clear and crisp. Staffs respect your time and privacy - they do not force you to leave.
