What a wonderful place. ?I had a great evening at Scampi, a neighborhood, southern Italian inspired, seafood restaurant. The food was great. Fresh, creative, totally satisfying. In addition, the drinks were great and the service amazing.More than anything else, the place was fun. Happy, celebratory and fun.Totally not to be missed, and you should bring your friends with you.

My children schemed to surprise me with dinner at Scampi for a big birthday. The surprise (not easy to keep things from me?) was that my daughter flew in from California! The dinner was already a very special night, but the employees at Scampi kept it going. We had very attentive staff and when our waitress was not available to pour our wine, one of the other staff stepped in. Since it was our first time there, our waitress gave us the lay of the land with favorites and how much to order. We started with a bottle of wine from their well rounded wine list. We then shared scallop crudo, little gem salad, and delicata squash. All were delicious, but my favorite was the squash. The burrata with the drizzle of hot honey, the zing of the pepitas and basil pesto were oh so yummy. They brought bread sticks for the table, but some warm bread to dip in this dish would have been much appreciated. We all ordered different entrees and one of their their signature Mafaldini Scampi to share. My Branzino was very good and the broccoli rabe (one of my favorites) was a great side. We all loved the Mafaldini, especially the pasta style which complimented the dish. We did not order dessert as we were meeting friends at another place to continue the celebration. Upon hearing it was my birthday our waitress brought us some bubbly to toast my special day. It was a wonderful night from start to finish. My only complaint was that the decibel level in the restaurant was off the charts and you had to shout to be heard. Maybe it is my age ??.

The food and drinks were delicious - everything that we ordered was well made and tasty. Our waiter was attentive and so informative - when we were exploring drinks he gave us feedback on the dominant ingredients. The music was a bit loud, but overall it was a great culinary experience.

The branzino was excellent, crispy, you could eat the skin, with a wonderful spicy sauce. Friendly service, I had a very enjoyable evening.

Really liked the food here - definitely a hidden gem in this area. I enjoyed the clams, burrata w/ caviar & my scampi pasta. Very reasonably priced as well

Saw this place on tiktok and had to try it out. Our waiter was so kind and sassy (the good type of sass) and started us off with some drinks. We ordered the allora and they were nice to make my boyfriend a lemon drop (he loves his sugar rims). Appetizers started off with a red snapper ceviche and brussel sprout salad. Brussel sprout salad was lacking in flavor in comparison to the ceviche, but overall a good palate cleanser. They also give the table some charcuterie breadsticks and a nice kick of sauce to go along. Pastas were amazing and cooked perfectly al dente. Definitely try their signature Scampi pasta as it was so garlicky with the perfect amount of oil. As we were eating, we ordered more drinks so you know they were good. This a place you should arrive with your stomach empty.

I didn't have high expectations coming here because I didn't choose to come here and was invited to a sit-down dinner event here. I was SO impressed by their service, how well they dealt with dietary restrictions, and how delicious the food was. I tried (with modifications) the tuna tartare, the ribeye, cranberry sorbet, and hazelnut dessert. The hazelnut dessert was heaven. I also cheated a bit and had a few bites of the shrimp scampi, and it was well worth it. The noodles were so yummy and perfectly chewy. Would definitely come here again!

Unfortunately not what expected. This restaurant lacks of both, quality food and service. In addition, this is not a cheap restaurant as we paid usd 150 for 2 persons. Started with Buffalo mozzarella but the topping was sweet and a little harder to be eaten. Main course: we ordered the octopus and the pasta with shrimps (sorry, I don't remember the names as per menu). Well the octapus was below average. The only dish that was really tastfull was the pasta. Final score 1 out of 3. As far as the service is concerned, we felt that we had to eat fast and go. Arrived a few minutes before 8 and we were told that the kitchen was closing at 8 which is crazy as we were given only couple of minutes to order. The food came fast and the waitress was like waiting for us to clean and go home. By 9 she cleaned up the table, brought the bill and announced that they were closing ??. For the reasons explained above, this place is not recommended.

I was craving some pasta and Scampi totally hit the spot. Their namesake dish (shrimp scampi with mafaldine pasta) is a showstopper. Don't judge, but my friends and I shared this as an appetizer course and this was the right move. It's not a huge portion but is so quality and we savored every bite. The pasta comes with a generous amount of shrimp and is topped with crunchy and savory bread crumbs. I wish that they had more appetizer options, probably the reason that led us to ordering some extra pasta. There is only a crudo and vegetable section. For my main, you guessed it- more pasta. This time I went with the sausage and broccoli campanelle which was served in the creamiest and most buttery sauce. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and all of the flavors worked so well together. I scarfed down the entire bowl. We also shared some shaved brussels which were sort of like a greek brussels salad. I liked the feta cheese and the vinaigrette. Service was great and overall the restaurant has a really nice vibe. It's dimly lit and well decorated, a fun spot for a group dinner or a date. There aren't many spots in Flatiron that feel like this and serve pasta (at least I wasn't able to find any). Scampi was definitely a solid pick!

Mafaldini "scampi"definitely one of my favorite pastas ever. Amazing, homemade texture w the best garlic & butter sauce + fresh shrimp. Overall super clean and aesthetic place, EXTREMELY friendly service, and not too loud.

Came here for a recommendation that I had from instagram, I was so excited because the first time I came it was closed for a private event. It was kinda busy but we got seated right away, the hostess was nice and overall everybody’s attitude was really good, congratulations on that, keep that good energy. The waiter gave us some recommendations so I took it, first I got the ceviche, I am a huge fan of ceviches and raw seafood preparations but honestly I think it was really overpriced for what it was, I had max like 8pcs of red snapper and it was mostly tomatoes and olives, the ceviche tasted more like olive juice than actual ceviche. Then we got the scampi mafaldine (their signature dish) and the octopus, I was literally joking with my boyfriend praying for the entrees to be good because the price was high. My mafaldine was tasteless and the octopus was kinda good in flavor but extremely greasy, I know it’s fried furro but there was SO MUCH oil on that dish. The service as I mentioned was friendly but really disorganized, they were not understaffed at all but we had like three different people taking our orders (not a problem for me) but it was kinda confusing, so much that at first someone got our order wrong (again, not a big deal for me) but as a hospitality industry worker I recommend the staff dividing sections and being on top of what’s going on with your own tables! I don’t think I will be back because the food was honestly not good for me neither the price you’re paying for it but I wish the best to the servers! I know you can make an experience out of your service!
