Thoughtful shabu shabu tasting dinner! Also a very fun and one of a kind experience (especially for a shabu shabu lover). Everything was prepared carefully by the chef. Food was great, however a little bit pricey for the portions. But i believe the quality of the food was up there so i didn’t mind the price as much.

Excellent experience trying one of the best Japanese Wagyu through Shabu Shabu with different sauce.

Couldn’t recommend Shabushabu Macoron more highly! We went to a seating on a Wednesday to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday and we ended up being the only reservation so we had a private omakase experience! Mika the chef was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to get to know us and explain each dish and its origin. Many of the dishes take hours and even days to prepare, making each dish truly a piece of art. All of the food was out of this world, couldn’t recommend it more! Thank you Mika for such a delicious and memorable evening!

Enjoyed the whole experience, and a great way to explore different flavors. My mouth was watering the whole time, and would suggest for special occasions!

It is surprising that it is different from the shabu-shabu course in Japan. The courses are all small. The last dessert was delicious.I thought the price was a little high, but the service is good.

Enjoyable shabu shabu dinner experience where it is evident the chef has put much attention of the preparation of each dish. The one criticism is the speed of the dinner service oddly felt rushed even though there were only six diners. Note that one with a big appetite may still hungry upon leaving given the small portions.

Dang this was quite the experience! Full meal lasted about 2 hours. Super intimate space. Everything was delicious.

Elegant and delicious food! Each bite is memorable. You should be full after this - they give you second servings of rice (free)! I don't understand reviews that said they weren't full after the meal...

This chef is amazing and the meat is so good! The chef cooks everything for you perfectly and pairs with the sauces or lets you pair it yourself. For great quality meat and delicious clean flavors, definitely check this place out.

Run by a young Japanese chef and her small team. They are polite and are people of very few words. The ingredients are FRESH and OH MY GOD THAT MEAT....I am korean, I know my rice. The way they cooked their rice was UHHHH MAY ZINGI was VERY impressed by her attention to detail. The table of 8 ate at different speeds. She had an eye on everyone throughout the entire dinner that she and her crew were ready to serve without delay. I watched her cook, nitpick and serve. The dinner and experience was very pleasant I would do it all over again.BTW - this is a full hands on dinner service. Please, dont be rude and tip a bare minimum. Dinner is expensive because the ingredients are expensive and the attention is set high. I saw a girl be rude throughout dinner and tip a bare 16%. Show some respect to the people that are cooking and serving you for an entire 1.5 hrs

Truly a one of a kind experience in New York City, which is already quite saturated with Omakase experiences. I think a lot of people are under the impression that you don't walk away with a full stomach because of the small portions, but the fact is that there was more than enough food to go around and in my opinion, it was worth the $$$ price. My personal favourites included the uni/yuba (tofu skin) dish and like many others, the A4 and A5 wagyu! It's also quite rare for a Japanese restaurant to be predominantly female-led so this was another aspect of the place which brought a smile to my face.

The concept of a shabu shabu omakase is very interesting, and I would encourage people interested in Japanese cuisine to give it a try. For me the highlight of the meal was the abalone as an appetizer, which was cooked to perfect temperature and firmness, and served with its liver sauce which was absolutely delicious. Other great dishes included freshly-made tofu sprinkled with black truffle salt, a spoonful of yuba cooked in soymilk and topped with Maine uni and fresh wasabi, soba cooked in a cheese-flavored broth, and A5 wagyu from Kagoshima dipped in a raw egg in the shabu shabu portion of the meal. I wasn't too crazy about the mochi dumplings (a little boring) and pork belly slices (a little too greasy) cooked shabu shabu style, but overall the menu was well-constructed and well-executed. Would recommend.
