Best brunch I’ve had in a while. The ingredients are fresh and have so much taste. The fig burrata toast and the ricotta hotcakes are not to be missed.

We went for a quick lunch and chose Sonny Boy after a recommendation to try the burger. Following the advice, we ordered the burger and a chicken sandwich. Both exceeded our expectations! Despite their modest appearance, the flavors were truly outstanding, complemented by very soft bread and interesting sauces. While I wouldn’t make a special trip just to visit this spot, if you find yourself nearby and are in the mood for a good burger, definitely give it a try. I’m already considering a return visit to sample the fig & burrata toast.

Walked in for brunch (the wait was about 2 hours). The food was absolutely fantastic — the ricotta hotcake is the winner but the shakshuka was also tasty.While the food was awesome, our table was next to the open sidewalk cellar door, which was where they put their trash, so it smelled like trash (more than the usual NYC trash smell). Something was also dripping on my friend the entire time we were eating. Gross! So I would probably try to get a table inside in the future.

I love going to Sonnyboy! The new menu is great and the drinks are very well done.
I had a lovely time at Sonnyboy for my brunch date. It was super easy to book the reservation. I was greeted by friendly staff right when I arrived. When it took a little longer than expected for our table to be ready, the host was sympathetic and did the best he could to get us seated as soon as possible. I think they have great food and drink options—the ricotta hot cake was so yummy! Although the seating was a bit tight, I will definitely come back and bring more friends.

Good brunch, even though tables close to the door are definitely not ideal as people (customers and waitresses) keeps going in and out. Had to wear my scarf because I was cold with the air coming in (rainy and cold day on January in nyc)Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options
We had brunch... outside... in January... in NYC... luckily Sonnyboy had heated outdoor seating. I had a Chai latte which in addition to being delicious was the perfect accompaniment to a very chilly day. I've eaten a lot of avocado toast but the tanginess of the flavor and the overall taste was really memorable. The service is also very friendly and efficient. It was a perfect weekend brunch!
This is a fun brunch place! I came here with a friend and we both enjoyed our food, especially the fig toast. Cocktails are good too! It’s also very convenient to get to via citibike.Dietary restrictions: Their dishes clearly say if they are gf etc.

small brunch place around chinatown. I came with friends for brunch and nothing stood out. the fig burrata toast didn’t have flavor and no flavor profiles stood out. the hot cakes were a bit dense but the raspberry jam was nice to cut the sweetness. the breakfast burrito was good with the salsa verde but could’ve used another kick from some hot sauce. lastly we got shoe string fries which were more like regular fries. the servers were nice and the atmosphere is cute
