This is the best hummus in nyc. Coming from a hummus lover, it honestly doesn't get much better than this. It's the perfect consistency and has the perfect amount of chickpeas to tahini. A true gem!
With (much) respect to 12 Chairs, 19 Cleveland, and many others who try their best, this adorable little restaurant is the only place in NYC where you can get actual stellar hummus even by Israeli standards. Absolutely the best. I haven't been to the Middle East so I can't compare, but this is absolutely the best hummus I've had in my life. So light and fluffy. I daydream about it sometimes. While the hummus is divine, the staff make the place truly impeccable. Everyone is such a kind and beautiful soul. I see why it's called Sunshine. It could be the gloomiest, coldest day in Manhattan, and surely enough, this place will cheer you up. :)
