Great value meal for their lunch special. $16 before tax for a 3 roll combo. The fish was fresh and they packed the sushi well.

Had a very enjoyable dinner here on a Monday night. We weren’t rushed at all and our waitress was really sweet. I loved the lotus flower salad and the steamed gyozas were really great - I would never have usually ordered these two dishes so I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi was fresh and the sashimi also had good flavor. Finally the vanilla mochi ice cream melted in my mouth! Such a treat and all for a very reasonable price when sharing dishes.

This is the spot you choose when you don’t want to spend over $100, but want something better than Wholefoods. Nothing will blow your mind, but nothing will make you kiss the porcelain the next day. It’s a notch above pedestrian, but just below a real Japanese operated sushi spot. No, it doesn’t have that Japanese vibe. It’s multi cultural in employment, and thus, it has all the vibe that comes with that. You either get that, or you don’t.That said, it slaps when you need raw fish, minus the pomp and circumstance and $$$ that comes with those kind of expectations. It’s a Tuesday night at 9:45, after a long day of putting out fires at work. It’s a legit, strong 3.2/5. And a weak, 2.75/5 on those off nights. You either get this review, or you don’t. You’re welcome.

Immer wieder gerne hier. Authentisches Restaurant. Hervorragende Qualität des Essens, netter Service; etwas störend, dass alle paar Minuten ein Food Delivery Messenger durch das Restaurant rennt.

We were served delicious omakase. Although the uni included in it did not taste good. So saved it for last or you might ruin your taste bud. Everything else was awesome like always.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in the neighborhood! I say Japanese restaurants because it has much more than sushi. It offers a variety of authentic Japanese dishes and every dish I’ve had – from the sushi plate, hamachi kama, a variety of vegetables, agedashi tofu, miso cod, you name it, it’s all very good! But it’s pretty popular so you likely need a reservation during busy times and also keep in mind that the space feels a bit cramped, in my view, with a low ceiling, so when it gets crowded it’s noisy.

Quality sushi - sushi regular lunch special (free sub out of shrimp for fish of chef's choice) with 6 pieces, choice of roll and soup or salad for $16. Excellent deal! Very efficient.

not a bad restaurant by any means but nothing that makes it different from literally other sushi restaurant you will ever go to your life. I feel like the quality was slightly better than some other places, but the prices also a lot more. Probably just a neighborhood sushi place and their other food is probably better than the omakase.

Stopped here after a show at the Beacon. My friend ordered the sushi deluxe and I ordered the spicy maki combination. They were both decent but nothing special. We ordered green tea upon being seated and it didn't arrive until after our food. Restaurant is small and unassuming.
My Sashimi Deluxe dinner at Sushi Yasaka was excellent. I am a bit of a snob with Japanese food and have been to Japan six times over the years. I usually only go to Japanese restaurants owned and run by Japanese. But the quality and quantity of the fish was so much better than what I had a few days earlier at Sushi of Gari, and half the price. Highly recommended.

The food is always of the highest quality and authentic; not dumbed-down to suit the local palette. My only complaint is that the nigiri size is TINY and it's one per order.

Excellent meal, star to finish. Salad appetizer, though they subbed lettuce in place of the unavailable watercress was good (a little heavy handed on the sesame dressing). The sashimi and rolls were delicious. Cuts were average size. Very nice meal and reasonable value. Only negative is their bottled sake selection is limited and unimpressive. Otherwise, strong recommend.
