A hidden gem where we pay tribute to the restaurants of a bygone era while taking a more contemporary approach. A restaurant designed for the ages.Using the finest ingredients and techniques, the kitchen will reimagine the food of that era, while the dining room treats guests to the elegant touches of gueridon service, tableside preparations, Champagne carts, live music, and views of the Hudson River.

Great food, excellent service. Newest addition of Thomas Keller’s restaurants. I had the opportunity to dine there three times before they had to close it permanently due to pandemic.

I came here for my birthday dinner; absolutely gorgeous view by the window. Its a place you go for the experience as it is located inside the hundson yards mall and you can see the vessel! Overall, not a restaurant I will go for food what so ever.Pro- great and attentive service- live music was playing on a Satuday night by the bar- tried their tuxedo #2 cocktail & loved it! (Very strong)- lasagna was very mediocre. Couldn’t really taste the rib eye nor the eggplant. It was just a lot for such a simple dish.- chicken was tender and juicy, but something you can find elsewhere easily.Con- even though the reservation was made a month ago and we arrived exactly on time (arrived about 2 minutes earlier than the reservation) we had to wait about 20-25 minutes- ordered the lasagna and the chicken for two. There was a very long gap of waiting between the two entrees- a whole chicken comes out, but they cut you only the leg and the wing... not to mention it wasn’t cut very well by our waiter

The TAK Room is Chef Thomas Keller’s newest restaurant located inside the new Hudson Yards shopping complex. It has a classic feel with wooden benches and offers a great view of The Vessel and the surrounding skyscrapers. At first we were worried that it might be one of those restaurants that have a nice view, but mediocre food and service because the service was not the best, but once we got our foods Chef Keller did not disappoint.

The TAK Room is Chef Thomas Keller's newest restaurant located inside the new Hudson Yards shopping complex. The restaurant offers a great view of The Vessel and the surrounding skyscrapers. At first we were worried that it might be one of those restaurants that have a nice view, but mediocre food and service because the service was not the best, but once we got our foods Chef Keller did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken pot pie and it was by far the most beautifully presented chicken pot pie I've ever had. It was also the most delicious and was creamy yet not too heavy. The dish looked small and elegant, but it was actually pretty filling and was the perfect fancy comfort food that one could have on a cold winter afternoon. I'm not sure if they'll have the chicken pot pie on their menu once it gets warmer, but this dish alone made me want to go back and try their other items on the menu.

Our experience at TAK Room was SPECTACULAR! From the moment you walk in, everyone is so thoughtful and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The entire evening was impeccable, down to the smallest detail. The service was amazing (special shout-out to David!), and the food tastes just as incredible as it looks. Will be back many, many times!

We came here for dinner and absolutely loved it! As we had a special evening, we were seated right by the window. All night we enjoyed a great service and the food was tasty. Prices are high but definitely worth it!

Thomas Keller's latest restaurant really hits the mark on best-in-class execution of classic American fine dining. Classic menu with entrees like beef wellington, veal chops and dover sole- everything is just done so well in a beautiful perch of The Vessel from the inconic Hudson Yards. Thomas Keller lives up to his name.

Very decadent meal. Portions are huge. Leave room for dessert. The beef Wellington probably feeds 3-4 not just two.

We were seated in the bar area as we waited for a table but decided we would stay and have dinner in that area. It turned out to be a great decision. The waiter was one of, if not the best server, I've ever had. Everything was timed perfectly. We started with oysters which were obviously sourced from the best suppliers. Wedge salad had a dressing that was incredible and topped it off with the best cheeseburger in town (The burger is only available if seated in the bar area). A bonus was the jazz band that kicked off right about when we sat down. Coat check was a nice touch too.

If this was wasn't a perfect dining experience I can't imagine what one would be like. Perfectly attentive staff -George is the best! And the view of "The Vessel" right outside the window as it got dark was beautiful! Every inquiry was perfectly answered and the menu options offered a perfect list of dishes for any dining preference. There was a 3 1/2 year old and the 2 year old birthday boy in our group and their presence and their young needs were handled, well, perfectly, of course:) Everyone found their dish prepared perfectly (what else?) from the Prime Rib special carved and served table side to the wonderful veal chop, pasta with black truffles shaved on top at the table to the eggplant parmesan. Even the diner who notoriously always brings half his dinner home enjoyed finishing his Fettucine Alfredo at the table. A dark chocolate cake was delivered with 2 candles for the birthday celebration and it was as good as a chocolate lover could want it to be. Other desserts were chocolate ice cream and an ice cream sundae that received toppings of the diner's choice tableside. We had dined at Ad Lib - the French Laundry pop-up at Silverado Resort in Napa a few years ago - and together with this experience we can say that the Keller touch does make dining special.
