Tacos Cano (formerly known as Taqueria Y Fonda) still has the freshest, tastiest food in the neighborhood and the friendliest service. For a 'hole in the wall', the atmosphere is cozy and uplifting. If you are local to the neighborhood, you need to try this place. They are also great with dietary restrictions such as vegan.

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to provide some feedback regarding my recent order, which totaled over $100. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was disappointing. The presentation was sloppy, and the taste didn’t meet expectations.

It was too late to call and return the items by the time we realized this, but I wanted to bring this to your attention for future improvement. I’ve been a loyal customer, and I hope that this experience can be addressed.

This used to be one of our favorite spots. Unfortunately the cost for dinner over the last 3 years has increased more than 75%. Two orders is now $50 (not including delivery).
Case in point, why would adding a protein to your burrito make it 125% more ($14 to add chicken to your burrito).
Very sad.

Just arrived in New York and came to this place near where I’m staying from the great google reviews. The owner was so friendly and chose a sensational Mexican beer for me. Lovely local friendly atmosphere with fun Mexican YouTube playlist. Amazing fresh food and good helpings, and very reasonably priced for New York. Would recommend to everyone and even come again!

We ordered 2 al pastor burritos for take away. Huge portion sizes, flavorful al pastor, and I love that they use Oaxaca cheese! This is our new go-to burrito place in the area!
