Waited 30 minutes in line on a weekday afternoon. Their portions and affordable price for a meal make this place very appealing for most. It’s a take-out, cash only establishment. The roast pork with rice was good for the price. I do recommend it for anyone who’s already in the area and have time to spare.

I have finally made it back to Wah Fung fast food in Chinatown, NYC! I haven’t been to Wah Fung in at least a decade and a half so it was a really awesome to be able to get back in there and enjoy one of life’s cheapest and simplest pleasures. All it took was a 20 minute line to spend roughly 2 minutes inside this tiny, galley-esque shop surrounded by meats and amazing aromas and we were off to find a park bench to eat.The small roast pork combo at Wah Fung is simply roast pork, steamed cabbage, and white rice. They plate it all and then scoop some more of the pork’s braising liquid overtop so it hits the vegetables and rice a bit and then you’re off to the races. $6.50 (which is up $1 from when I was here last) and you have a meal that’s more than enough food for one person. The roast pork (char siu) here is downright iconic. Anyone who considers themselves a food aficionado and has spent any time in Chinatown, has had this roast pork…and odds are, they loved it. It is both sweet and savory in the best possible way and a really wonderful comfort meal.I look forward to my next visit to Wah Fung, just need to make sure it isn’t so far apart this time! Wah Fung fast food - Didn’t Suck!

Great that business is good but 45 mins wait is kinda crazy considering there's 297 other restaurants in Chinatown that serves the same exact thing for maybe $1-2 more. It's like people didn't realize Chinatown sold roast meats before social media. Y'all people crazy.

I'm giving Wah Fung 5 stars for atmosphere but I want to be clear that this place is a hole in the wall. It looks like a food truck crashed into the building and they just put up a shrine to Guan Yu and kept on roasting meat. But this is exactly what I wanted from this place, so 5 stars from me. Don't show up expecting fine dining. Do show up expecting absolutely fantastic char siu, side pork, duck, and cabbage. To go.
Excellent meal. Value for moneyPerfect. 15 dollars for 4. Lots of people, people line up on the sidewalk

Iconic. I try to go every time i visit New York. The food is cheap and so good. I always get the pork and another meat. Usually there’s a line and I did have to wait up to an hour once but it was worth it.I enjoy sitting at the park across the street and eating in the sun. It’s relaxing and there so much going on in the area.
