Rainy Sunday and you're in downtown NY and you want to eat something light and not banal, this is your place... good sushi, perfect fish, honest and clean flavors, nothing fancy, but I prefer real sushi to messy sauces and cream cheese on a bite of rice... Chef Jeff is nice and capable, the girls are friendly and present, to try….. and coming back, many time …honest price for such good service

Was sat with dirty chopstick and napkins when we first walked in. The food was ok, there’s better omakase for cheaper prices in NY. The third course with some white fish tasted like nothing. The portions are also not that big so we were both still a bit hungry after the meal. The fish pieces are sliced very thin and the chef is quite inconsistent with the portion sizes given to everyone. The way he handled food also put me off a little bit.

Had an outstanding experience at Zen Sushi Omakase last night. Jason's omakase service was phenomenal - his knife work, timing, and explanations of each piece demonstrated absolute mastery. He created a progression that built beautifully from delicate appetizers through rich, fatty cuts that just melted.
Heti was equally impressive on the floor, keeping my sake flowing without us ever having to ask. She read the bar's needs perfectly, knowing exactly when to engage and when to let us focus on the sushi.
The fish quality is absolutely top-tier - everything tasted as fresh as it could be from the ocean. Standouts included the king salmon, toro, uni, and scallops from the 14-course menu.
Worth every penny and more. If you're seeking a top-notch omakase experience in New York in an intimate environment, accompanied by impeccable service, this is it.

Some of the best omakase I have ever had. My fiance and I went here last night, and every single bite was delicious. The chef was wonderful at explaining each piece. My favorites were the king salmon and the Foie Gras (which we added on at the end).

Omakase - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the cod fish and salmon & truffle sushi is amazing.
However, I left notes on reservation saying I don’t do beef. Reiterate to the waitress when I enter the store that I don’t do beef. But they still serve me wagyu as one of the omakase dishes.
