This review is a little late. We were there July 4th. first they didn't have any of the draft beer shown in the picture with all the taps. Second it was a Fourth of July and then playing Madonna loudly (irony). The food was okay but not worth what we paid. The service was good.

Been in the joining hotel 3 days. This Catania place looks vacant. Chairs on tables, never a light on. Looks like a ghost town.

The food is absolutely DELICIOUS! However, be prepared to wait a long time. Definitely worth the wait!

From the heart, this is the BEST place I've ever been to. I've never received such fantastic service from a restaurant in my life. Mercedes was our waitress and she was on top of everything that we needed. Yeah it was a wait for the food but if you know anything about QUALITY food you're gonna wait for it, not to mention it was also incredibly busy in there. Thank you for the meal and excellent service, if you are in the area please do yourself a favor and stop by this local eatery. You are guaranteed to not be disappointed

Went to this restaurant for a late night dinner. My 2 friends had the eggplant parmesan and really appreciated the flavor of the sauce and the freshness of the pasta. I had the rice balls appetizer and a house salad. The appetizer was wonderful! Creamy mix of rice and ricotta cheese covered with a crispy layer. Yum. The lettuce in the house salad was a bit 'brown' on some edges, but the vinaigrette was tasty!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I came downstairs to eat dinner here because it was open but imagine my surprise to find it completely empty, dark and with an open sign but no one there. I don't get it.

Well we've been waiting an hour and are stiiiiilllll waiting for our food. Not a great service time at all. I will update once we get our food... IF we get our food. Appetizers were out in 15 minutes. They did offer free drinks from the bar though for the long wait. But with kids that is a loooooong time to wait. Note, the table across from us came in after us, got their food, ate their food and paid their bill before we received our food. Also the restaurant only had 4 tables including ours they were serving.

Stopped here for some drinks and a slice of chocolate cake. The staff was nice and chill, like the ambiance. We even got a round on the house for my wife's birthday. tl;dr Clean, fun, and friendly. Good desert and drinks.

New business on Rainbow Boulevard-I am a fan ! Now this is not to say there is a little bit of work to do here , but a vast improvement from the former Twisted Olives Sports Bar that formerly occupied this space. Catania is located on the first floor of the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel-street entrance is on Rainbow Blvd . Upon entering from the street, you are walking in to the bar area. We arrived at around 5pm and there was not another patron in sight. The space was clean and the decor was nice , if not a bit minimalist. We chose to sit at the bar . I requested a drink menu and I have to say I think this could use some work . There were a handful of drinks listed, nothing particularly exciting sadly . I would love to see one or two (at least) unique craft cocktails ! Add something that represents Niagara Falls ,definitely would like to see a couple great drinks added . I settled on the Pinktini- Vodka, peach schnapps , grapefruit (juice?) and champagne. The drink was ok , but nothing to write home about . I actually wanted a dirty martini, but they did not have dry vermouth , this was disappointing and I recommend they get on that asap. The food is what I am giving the 4th star for . The food is made from scratch and I cant remember the last time I went out and had a meal that tasted as "homemade" but better ! My partner had the steak, it was perfectly cooked and came with a delicious risotto(the risotto was not listed on the menu-so I think that a little more attention to these details by the business is needed) . I has the chicken parm which was also great . Portions were a very respectable size . We also had two appetizers-focacica bruschetta and the fried banana peppers with tuscan bread (I would probably call this tuscan bread with fried banana peppers, as the bread was more to the point. ) Both appetizers were quite good , with that being said . The chef came out to ask whether my partner had a mushroom allergy , as she requested no mushrooms, they discussed how the sauce was made and he made sure she was ok with the ingredients which was appreciated. It was very clear there was a lot of pride taken in his cooking and presentation of everything that came out of the kitchen. The downside - it took quite awhile to receive our entrees, and they did not come out together. We were at the bar enjoying our drinks and appetizers, so we didn't really mind , but it does make me question what the wait might be like if the restaurant was busy. All in all , I feel we will definitely return , and I hope to see them realize their full potential by improving the drink menu and working on getting the food out just a bit quicker, or even just making sure the meals come out together ! Come when you are not in a rush , and are wanting home cooked but better , appetizers , meals and pizza !

Best polenta I have ever had. Creamy and the short ribs so tender. Orecchiette was very good. From what I could see the pizza also looked worthy of a try. If you are in Niagara this is a great spot with reasonable pricing

My 4-year-old and I are vacationing in Niagara for her birthday. We stumbled across this little gem on Yelp. They had great reviews and a wonderful menu, so we decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad we did! The food and presentations were spectacular... well priced... and the staff really made this a memorable night. Stacy was such a sweet and attentive server. One of the chefs came to our table to ask my daughter what dessert she wanted for her birthday, and created a beautifully decorated slice of chocolate cake. To top it off, nearly (if not) all the staff came out and sang happy birthday. They took pictures and videos for me so I could enjoy the moment with my daughter. My little one said the birthday song was the best part of her whole birthday! If we lived out here, we'd definitely be "regulars" at this establishment.
