We had a great time eating on the inviting patio. I had the Braciole which was delicious and I barely needed a knife to cut it. Our server, McKenzie, recommended it to me and I am glad that I took her advice! The home made pasta was great! A great place to eat when you are out and about in North Tonawanda.

Summertime at Frankie Primo's North Tonawanda location is great, Especially if you have kids. The Patios accommodate large groups and can easily get a quick table without a reservation because of the size. The lower patio gives you an atmosphere that does not feel like buffalo, with the vines growing up the brick wall. Our server was very nice, and food came out hot and quick. With kids this is a must.

Absolutely one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. We came on a Saturday night and could hear the party 5 blocks before seeing the restaurant. The ribeye with the tortellini was quite thin with a bold char although the place had the best bread, wine, pasta, service, and ambiance of any restaurant in upstate NY.

My husband had the lasagna and I had a gluten-free with fig jam pizza. Food tasted great but the gluten-free crust used for the pizza was not my favorite. I had a red wine cabernet and a margarita (wasn't a fan of either drink). My husband had a sparkling water and a Manhattan. We shared a charcuterie board ( best part of the meal, outstanding local). The service was excellent. Eating here isn't cheap $169.00. Thats with a tip of $28.00.

We came to Frankie Primo’s +39 North in Tonawanda with a large group on a Friday night and had a fantastic experience. The food was very good — everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. From the appetizers to the main courses, each dish was delicious and served hot. The service was excellent from start to finish: attentive, friendly, and impressively organized, even with our big party.
The atmosphere was lively and energetic, perfect for a Friday evening out. It did get a little too loud at times, which made it hard to hear across the table, but that’s expected with a busy restaurant. The space was clean, nicely decorated, and had a great vibe overall. We really appreciated how smoothly everything went with such a large group, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for both small dinners and larger gatherings!

I am going to start off by saying we are frequent guests and this was the first time I had a negative experience. I brought two girlfriends to the patio bar, we were greeted promptly, even though we arrived mid shift, we were taken care of right away. Literally everything was perfect- I had a picky drink request (that was made exactly how I expected), asked for food recommendations- and while we were sitting at the bar, the “bakery manager” came over and told the girls working behind the outdoor bar that they looked stupid because they were wearing sun glasses (it was 5pm and the sun was setting). It was so appalling that I felt the need to address the comment to the bartender and close my tab. We were meeting a couple for dinner so we were then seated in the dining room and had an amazing server. The fans were set so high that the menus were literally blowing off of the tables. We were laughing and asked if they could turn the fans down. I want to be abundantly clear- Our server was amazing but hesitant to say she would ask the manager about the fans. The same “manager” as before came out mumbling and turned the fans off for the whole room.
It may not have sounded like a lot or registered that it was offensive, but as a guest at the restaurant it really turned me off and I will second guess recommending because of this experience. -

Shawna was amazing in arranging accommodations for our work outing. The food and the entire wait team were fabulous (including Mike A.)!

My experience at Frankie Primo's +39 North was frankly, premium. That is in large part to the service we received from our incredible server Jenna K. She exhibits a sadly rare set of values that I can only call pride of profession. The knowledge and passion she has in representing this establishment speaks to the incredible quality of this restaurant.
I'm not Italian, and my experiences with Italian food is incredibly west-washed. The menu, was thus, both refreshing in its honesty (a disclaimer at the top that while allergies would be respected and accommodated for, trying to Burger King the ingredients of the dishes due to personal preconceived notions of taste is not recommended), and daunting in its authenticity (good luck pronouncing things correctly, and I have no idea what the different meats are). Thankfully, Jenna to the rescue. She guided our first time jitters by telling us about the way everything was made in-house, with fresh ingredients (and undoubtedly authentic recipes), and then offered to let us go over the menus. When she returned, it was to offer to answer any questions we may have had. I have to think she gauged our body language to time her return, because I didn't feel rushed or pressed upon.
I did have questions, and the thoroughness of her answers left me feeling in awe of her personal pride of position. She explained what made a sauce become Sunday'd, and then everything else about the item in question (and even said the name aloud a few times, so when I ordered it I could take her cue). When the bread came, she recited the ingredients in the olive oil in a way that just felt fancy, like she wouldn't put something in front of us that she didn't have personal experience with.
Our food was amazing, even if it was different from expectations. The penne was al dente, which I learned from Google was intentionally cooked to retain chewy texture. The fear that it was undercooked had crossed my mind, but again it was my ignorance of thinking all pasta had to be boiled until pale and floppy. It was more amazing for its bite.
To cap off a great experience, when we unpacked our bag of leftovers (the portions were generous enough for two meals, and which she offered to box up), we had one last consideration to appreciate. On top of each box was written the name of the dish, and the day's date.
I don't know if that is standard practice. It's never happened at any restaurant I've been to, let alone for this humble price point. I feel spoiled from my time at Frankie Primo's +39 North, and I hope many more people come to take a chance to read a menu they may or may not understand, bravely trust in a recipe that may have one or two ingredients that might otherwise worry you, and generously tip the incredible people who are proud to represent this amazing corner of taste and culture.

The patio atmosphere is right out of Tuscany. The food was amazing and full of complex flavor I had the chicken Milanese (my favorite) it was enough for two people! 2 chicken cutlets tons of arugula with fresh slivers of Parmesan, and huge side of rigatoni. The cocktails were also on point. Well balanced and sizable. Service was bar none even with a super busy Saturday night. We didn't wait for anything or feel rushed everything was timed perfectly. Our server even presented us with complimentary shots of lemoncello with little giuggiulena cookies... YUM! It was our anniversary. All in all a wonderful experience! Will definitely be back to try all the other menu delicacies!
