Very good food, and great cocktails. Went there around lunchtime and happened to be during their happy hour, so there were very good specials on food and drinks. We got mussels, octopus, abd a couple of other things, and they were all tasty. They also featured $1 raw oysters. Mostly good, but I did leave one or two on the tray because they looked iffy. Still, I definitely will go back to this place! And I'll add that I was impressed with their cocktails. They were pleasantly potent, and well crafted!

Upon arrival at Greekish for a birthday celebration, my anticipation was met with disappointment upon tasting their seafood offerings. The oysters, purportedly fresh, exhibited a distinctly unpleasant flavor reminiscent of overheated seawater. This sentiment was echoed by neighboring diners who experienced a similar dissatisfaction. Upon inquiry, our server confirmed that the oysters had indeed spoiled, yet no remedial action was taken.Consequently, I find myself unable to recommend Greekish and will refrain from returning in the future.

Food is tasteless and forgettable. Empty usually most of the time. Very underwhelming. Wouldn't recommend. Better Greek restaurants down the street.

Having had many ,many Greek meals in the New York region and in Greece, The Greekish in Nyack is the worst Greek restaurant I have ever had the misfortune to dine in. The odd selections on the limited menu was just the beginning of a terrible dining experience. Even basic Greek food including Tzatziki and Gyros were awful. There was nothing among our four dinners that were even palatable or tasted good. It was all plainly poorly designed and badly made inferior food. And at the meal's end, the coffee was weak and bad tasting. The restaurant has no business being in business.

Had a very nice lunch with my family today at the Nyack Greek-ish. We all did the price fixed lunch special and were very impressed with the portion sizes for $22. The eggplant dip, Greek salad and lemon chicken were all delicious and they threw in a free dessert since what we wanted wasn't available. We were seated right away and the waitress was very nice. Would def go back!

Don’t eat the oysters! My brother and father were in a couple of days before new years and my brother had the oysters he got really bad food poisoning. So bad he had to go to urgent care because he was so violently sick! Do not recommend.

For $34 I got a shrimp dish with four shrimp in a 6-in skillet with a little bit of a pasta type thing at the bottom with an okay sauce. Very very un remarkable and ridiculous for the price. We ordered the hummus appetizer and it literally tasted like there was nothing in my mouth. So disappointed.

Mediocre -ish We came for a birthday celebration. Nice decor and atmosphere, not the best acoustics as it got very loud and challenging to hear one another. Food was hit or miss ! Dip sample was nice and the falafel sandwich was not bad. But to charge $28 for a souvlaki which was two thin (very dry) pieces of flavorless chicken with a sample of flavorless kale salad was just not cool. Service was ok, dude was nice but felt like he'd rather be somewhere else. The place was packed and it was only two waiters. We ended up each receiving the food at different times and waited quite a long time for it to come. Desert was a disappointment. Overall feels like a place with a lot of unfulfilled potential.

This was the place I had my first date. We met for drinks at the bar. The cauliflower and the mussels were great. We went back there for dinner for our first anniversary and we enjoyed the food. Greekish will hold a special place in our hearts.Parking: You can park at a metered spot after 6 or 7pm.

Had a superb meal at The Greek-ish in Nyack last night. No photos to share, we were too busy enjoying the great food. Firstly, the service was exceptional, from the time I made the reservation to a chat with the chef to saying goodnight, the team there was terrific. The "dips" with pita and shaved veggies was a delightful trip through the chef's techniques and skills. Everyone enjoyed their meals, 2 of us had Branzino with greens and lemon potatoes, a large portion of perfectly cooked fish with absolutely delicious greens. 2 Shrimp dinners, nice sized perfectly cooked shrimp on a bed of deliciousness. A lamb pita with fantastic french fries, if you know, you know, the fries sometimes make the meal memorable. We also shared a special pork chop family style, and I mean special. Juicy does not do this chop justice, the chop was sitting on a white bean and zucchini puree that was exceptional. This chop was a gift from the chef and was much appreciated. Overall our experience was a 10 out of 10. The restaurant is a well run gem that should not be missed.

The staff are so friendly! I should have known that there was something off though, when they weren’t busy on a Saturday night with a slew of people outside and the hostess couldn’t even come close to pronouncing “Gyro.” I mean, not even close. It’s not a Guy-ro, folks. It’s a Gearrro. The drinks were great but $16? They were small and being a chef from NYC- even I find that seriously pushing it. These are not* $16 level drinks. The eggplant was inedible. The pita is store bought or sysco. The oysters were solid, surprisingly. The spinach pie was good, not great- good. The fried cheese was good. The gyros were… extremely disappointing. The brisket meat was flavorless and the presentation was just bad. It comes in a tight box with a bunch of french fries which in turn, get soggy with the bland couscous and some wet plain kale crammed in the corner. Theres maybe 4 pieces of meat, one was the size of a hot dog. Theres 2 pitas and a stingy cup of too thick tzatziki sauce. I was just… confused. What was even happening? We gave it one last go and got dessert. Again, it was disappointing. It was a cut up baklava crammed inside an Irish whiskey glass of vanilla ice cream. My poor Mediterranean husband looked so depressed. Then… the bill came. We were so ready to go at this point. It was nearly $200 with tip. For a shared GUY RO, 4 oysters, 3 small drinks, 3 appetizers and 1 shared dessert.I was hungry 2 hrs later. Never again. If someone comes for me on social media because of this review, like another poster warned, they will be very sorry. Just like we were for going here.

I hate writing bad reviews for local places but I am not happy. $180 with tip for the two of us and what did we have? 3 appetizers, one completely inedible (eggplant) one ok (spinach pie) and one fried cheese (meh.) 3 $16 tiny 3 oz drinks that were good, but wildly overpriced. I had the cheap cocktail headache later. 1 very weird dessert consisting of a cut up piece of baklava wedged in an Irish coffee mug full of vanilla ice cream. I mean... what? Not appetizing. The main course; a shared brisket gyro on a bed of soggy overcooked fries with some wet kale and flavorless couscous mixed in- with some GIANT tomatoes and raw onions. The meat was so strange, almost no flavor but tender- and one piece was the size of a hot dog. The metal tray idea is like being served your meal in a bucket. It's not good at all and all the wet and cold mixes with the fried food and bread. The lady next to me got the chicken gyros and they looked dry af. She didn't even eat it. 2 pieces of store bought pita and 1 small cup of very thick Tzatziki. I had to beg for bread and more sauce- at a $180 meal. 1 bottle of water. 4 single oysters. Probably should not have eaten those. It honestly felt like a fried food joint trying to compensate for being a fried food joint. The service was decent but disjointed. 5 different people appeared at our table during our meal. It felt like a diner that couldn't quite pass as a diner but with NYC prices without the quality you'd expect at NYC eateries. The hostess was very nice but cannot say Gyro. The seating is hard surfaces and it's loud in there. It's not a terrible atmosphere but it's also not great. This place is just bizarre. We won't be back. I was hungry 2 hrs later.
