I really wanted to leave a five star review. This is certainly the best dance venue in town. Fair warning, though, gays don't seem very welcome. This came up as the top search result for a gay bar in the area, but based on the pics, we figured it would be more of a gay friendly establishment. Nope. We danced up a storm, and most of the crowd seemed cool with it, but as we were leaving, a large group started booing us, and the police had to escort us out.

Wow, the last time I was in Plattsburg, my friends treated me to this fine establishment, and the music was killer, and within five minutes I spotted at least ten young ladies who could have easily graced the front cover of VOGUE. I hope to play this world class establishment someday, maybe in a paralell universe not discovered by scientists yet.

I've been going to retro for approximately a year now and they are not what they used to claim to be. The music is too new, repetitive, and not danceable. They only have one bar that gets so crowded you wait 45 minutes for a drink. The bathrooms are gross and all the stall doors are broken. Some of the bouncers don't do a great job, others are fantastic. I've been disregarded when asking for a cup of water multiple times which is ridiculous when it gets as hot and sweaty as it does in there. It's fine if you're a college kid looking for a party, which I am not.
Please get bartenders who actually know how to make drinks! Both girls didn’t even know what they were doing. Also charging $5 to get in plus, paying for drinks and the food that was not even good!

This place was fun till you go to the bathroom and security is watching you go to the bathroom or wash your hands. My friend got kicked out for washing his hands this place is a joke on how it is run even if it does look decent on the inside.

My bestfriend was graduating at SUNY plattsburgh and as a celebration to that we went on a girl's night out to Retro. It was definetly a whole lot of fun. The music was on point. The DJ had all the good hits and variety of music and I loved that.
