This was by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. First, you don't even place orders through a waiter/waitress - it's through a QR code. There isn't any explanation on the way it charges your card, alternative to QR code given when seated, etc. I was aggravated when there was confusion at my table about who got what considering we weren't sure who got charged for what (we all placed a similar drink order). So, I decided to cancel my food order (5 mins after placing - probably didn't even start making it). Rather than working through that aggravation, the manager and waitress (night of 03/09/24) both gave me an attitude over it. They escalated the situation to the point where that "manager" followed me outside to get his last word in. I, at first, calmly asked for my order to be canceled. But after getting backlash from the manager and waitress, I got an attitude with them. Absolute trash place.Gotta love the responder who addressed barely anything in my post. Take accountability for your employees who only added fuel to the fire. That was the real issue. But then again, the person writing me back was probably the dude giving me a problem

I had the most amazing time at bartaco in Port Chester! The food was seriously delicious - each bite was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. The servers were so friendly and helpful, giving us great tips on what to try. The whole place had picturesque vibe and ambiance that felt like we were on vacation at a beautiful resort! I can't wait to go back and enjoy more of their yummy food and chill atmosphere, If you're looking for a spot with great food and good vibes, bartaco is the place to be!

The manager was great today! She and the other staff made everything easy and comfortable. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and we had a lovely time. Will be back!Parking: It can get busy sometimes but today we got close parking immediately.

First off, my boyfriend and I have visited Bar Taco in both NY and Florida because that's how much we loved it. Portions were always decent and everything was exceptional to the point where we ordered takeout or dined in about once a week. However, that has all changed. Food is NOT the same quality and absolutely NOT the same portions. We have spent hundreds of dollars at Bar Taco along with recommending to family/friends. I would say save your time, money, and breath because Bar Taco is just a waste and extremely distasteful. Unless you want shitty $5 small tacos and almost $10 bite-sized guacamole, this is without a doubt your place! Not to mention, we picked up our last takeout order and we even left a tip to be left disappointed. Furthermore, my family visited Bar Taco last week to say the same things regarding how terrible both the food and portions were. They also will not be visiting this establishment anymore. I have no words, just photos to prove it. I emailed the general manager and another manager twice (photos attached) and of course, no response. I wouldn't be surprised if they replied to this for "free tacos" in exchange for this review to be removed. Save your money! Not worth the hassle... Do better.

(From Fall '23) This is my first time here. The host and wait staff are really friendly. The outdoor patio is large & inviting with a nautical style pit area and an outdoor bar. You can sit along the rail where you can see the boats traveling through the channel. The manager, Chad, was also very friendly. The problem is that I had to find out because the bar staff is messy. Literally. It was impossible to find a clean spot to sit & none of the FOUR bartenders who had a total of TWO customers at the bar could be bothered to wipe the bar down, even when I remarked aloud about the dirty bar. Their hands were comfortably stashed in their pockets. So even though we would have saved money by sitting at the bar for happy hour, I opted to sit on the deck for full price in the hopes of salvaging the experience. No, I'm not wealthy. But that's how turned off I was by the bar situation. I even questioned whether I should order a drink. Which brings me to a whole 'nother issue that I'll skip over since the manager did what he could to make things right. The only thing is that it wasn't offered to me. I had to negotiate for it. All this makes me wonder whether this place is more geared toward a party crowd than a dining clientele. Speaking of dining, Chad made excellent taco suggestions. The shrimp taco was tasty,l & spicy but not overwhelming. The Baja fish taco had a nice sized lightly crispy filling. The pork belly taco was addictively well-balanced between savory and sweet. The kitchen staff is killing it! They are the real MVPs. It wasn't a great overall experience, and we had to wait a good while before even getting our food order in. At least the kitchen was fast. I'd give it another chance only because of the manager. Yeah, the good was great. But this is NY. There are a lot of great food options. You go out for the full experience.

Joined the waitlist from the car 30 minutes ahead so that our wait inside wouldn’t be as long, had the confirmation on the phone then when we got to the hostess stand they said they didn’t receive it so unfortunately we had to re join the wait list and wait another hour and 45 minutes. Thankfully we were able to get a seat at the bar other wise I would have left. Vibes at the bar were great.Drinks were pretty good, had classic margaritas and Paloma’s. Atmosphere was great, and the DJ played good songs.Since we had to re join the wait list we specifically said we wanted to be seated inside since it was 30° degrees out and didn’t want to be in the “heated” tent. Eventually get the text msg saying table is ready and they bring us outside. We tried to sit there and forget about it but our table wasn’t even under a heat lamp and my legs were instantly cold but thankfully we were able to switch with no issue.Food came out fast but I really do NOT like the online ordering process especially because it doesn’t accept Apple Pay and you have to physically enter the card information in the dark restaurant. For those who aren’t tech savvy this could definitely be a little confusing, I even accidentally put my order through twice and had to speak with staff to correct it.Tried a variety or tacos, corn, chips and guac and the plantains as well as theChurros and tres leches. Tacos were all very good just extremely small, chips were very salty and the tres leches tasted like an onion bagel.

Service was awful. Lady at the door could not have been more rude when we walked in. They then ask you to use a barcode to order everything so they have no responsibility to check in or speak with you, and when they do, they are rude. Shout out the chefs though food was descent but will never come back. Bar also sucks!

I've been to bartaco a few times and every visit got worse. To where I'll never be back again now. The tacos are trash, but the pork belly one has potential. The previous visit i had the kale Caesar salad and it was actually good so I came in for a Caesar salad and a drink at the bar. The kale was unevenly cut and it was cut very large, it was also half dressed. Some kale had dressing some didn't, it was dry as hell. So I sent it back. The bartender didn't ask me why I didn't like it, nor did he ask me if i wanted something else. He just took it and walked off...so I'm like okayyyy I'm a private chef, I work in hospitality so I expecting more. At this point I'm left with just a drink to finish before I check out. He didn't check on me for 29 minutes before I had to flag him down for my check. I'm sitting at a bar, not even a table. Why does it take that long to give a simple " everything okay over here ?! " please manage y'all FOH and BOH staff better.

I went after work with a colleague to Bartaco. Although it was a cold winter evening, I could tell that most likely during the summer months, this place is popping. I started off with a house margarita (tip: happy hour specials are only served at the bar) and continued to order some delicious food. I liked how you ordered food through your phone so paying was easy and you don't have to worry about splitting any bills! I think the tastiest thing that I ate was the street corn off the cob. I would also recommend ordering the salsa trio, and as many tacos as you can fit in your stomach. They definitely had a good variety of tacos to choose from.
