I decided to take my date to Nino's on a very nice warm evening. We asked to sit outside in the sun it was still early and the sun was magnificent. We were sat outside in the shade along side 7 tables unoccupied in the open sun. We aske 3 employees to be moved into the sun and were denied. Their reason was that we were a party of 2 and those tables were for 4. I told them I understood how ever they weren't being used and if they were to fill up while we were there we would move. Still denied . Our whole intention was to be in the sun. My date upset we left and went to Louie's Prime Steak & Seafood down the block. Louie's save the day as we treated like royalty with a table set up just for us in direct sun and treated totally professional. 5 star for Louie's. Guess were we go on Friday and Saturday nights now !!!

Went for an early dinner at 430pm because from the reviews it gets really busy. The restaurant was not busy at all but we still waited 10 - 15 mins to order our drinks... 30 mins for our bread that was cold ... Our Peroni beer was spoiled (took it off our bill, only good thing). Ordered our cocktails which were mediocre. Our appetizer Tuna tartar and charred octopus was all salty. Entree linguine clams were good. My wife got the steak which was not seasoned. For dessert, we got the mochi zeppeli and the lemon ricotta which were all gross and tasteless. It will probably be our last time here. Can definitely find a better place with a better price elsewhere. Plus the service was mediocre at best which is sad because it was not busy at all.

We booked a reservation through open table for our 7 year anniversary dinner. The host a young man was very professional and courteous. He sat us at the bar and made it a point to get us seating outside where the view is amazing. He came to find us when the table was ready and took care of us. The waiters, runners & staff were on point and helpful.
I highly recommend this place. I am 100% impressed and amazed at the service, the quality of the food and drinks and how we are treated here with total respect.

Our server—Stephanie, if I remember correctly—was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease. The food was absolutely delicious. The charred octopus was prepared to perfection, and the clams were bursting with flavor. I ordered the veal chop, which was tender and expertly cooked, while my wife chose the Lobster Bucatini—another standout dish that hit all the right notes. We're already looking forward to our next visit, and I can almost guarantee I’ll be getting that veal chop again. Not many places manage to craft such a memorable meal.

I really wanted to like this place for my birthday, but the experience fell a bit short. I had to call three separate times to confirm my reservation because it kept getting lost, which was frustrating. The place was extremely crowded, and while the appetizers were good and the drinks were pleasantly strong, the main dishes were just okay definitely not worth the high price point in my opinion. If you do have a gluten free restriction they do have good options. That said, the servers were very friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s not a terrible spot, but it feels overhyped. If you’re planning a special celebration, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

We were a party of three went there July 4th we entered and was escorted to our table by the manager and were seated beautiful restaurant and view of Manhasset’s bay and the sound . After 10 minutes I asked someone to help us with our server . We asked server who came over to us to bring us to the taste the wine . She promptly returned with our tasting glasses!!! Then we sat for another 10-15 minutes before I asked for our server so we can order our drinks . A different server came over and told us we have to order appetizers and entrees at same time ) please note the restaurant was empty ( we arrived at 4:30!)after a few more minutes we decided to leave as we walked out the manager waved to us as we exited bizarre at best ! There are better restaurants on the bay need I say more

35 minutes from sitting down until we received the drinks. 25 minutes from ordering dessert until we received them, also asked for an off menu option, which i was told would check about, but no one ever came back with an answer, a negative answer would have been good as well. Came with kids at 6 left at 8:20. Way too long for dinner, if I'll visit again, I'll make sure to have the time for a long meal and would definitely leave the kids at home

However, for someone who’s been a server for 4 years, I am not impressed with the service. This was my 4th time going here in hopes things would be different, but the servers kind of just do the bare minimum and leave it at that. There’s no real sense of customer service- the manager will come around asking how everything is, but you don’t really see your actual waiter or waitress. We continuously were hunting ours down for more drinks and even water too. Also not sure if there was some sort of issue with the heat, but we were absolutely freezing and thought maybe it was just our table because we were right by the window, but we looked around and there were people still wearing their heavy jackets at every single table.
The place has amazing potential so I really hope they find the right servers.

I am writing this review to share my experience at the 2024 New Year's Eve party, and unfortunately, it was a complete disaster.
Despite tickets costing nearly $300, the event was poorly organized and fell far short of expectations. Our table was barely ready when we arrived, and no servers came to take our food or drink orders until after midnight. It was honestly a nightmare and far from the celebration we had hoped for. If you're considering celebrating New Year's Eve here, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
Save your money and avoid the frustration!
