This farm is amazing! ? I popped over to grab some apples, thinking I'd zip in and out in a couple of hours. Guess what? I stayed the whole day! ? It's like an adventure park out here – super cool slides, a playground that's every kid's dream, and a corn maze that's like a mini adventure. And the animals! Goats and llamas that are just too cute! ?❤️ Missed out on live music 'cause it was a weekday, but hey, that's just another reason to come back! ? And the food? Yum! There's this little bar stand where they serve cider and beer (wish they had bottles though ?). But let me tell you, the cider donuts are to die for! ??Already planning my next trip for more apple-picking fun. See you next year, awesome farm! ? ?

If you’ve been searching for a FUN fall adventure with your pup, I highly recommend Barton’s Orchard upstate!! It’s about a 2-2.5hr drive depending on traffic and it’s a huge orchard with farm animals, little shops, craft vendors, outdoor games, live music, bakery, food trucks, distillery, pumpkin picking AND apple picking where your pup is allowed WITH you!! It was extremely dog friendly and such a blast. My husband and I went yesterday and there was still many apples in season!! We’ll definitely be going back next year ????

My family of 5 had an Awesome time yesterday at this farm. First off my party consisted of 2 adults ($30 admission each pp) and 3 children under the age of 12 ($15 admission fee for each child), equaling $107 (with tax/ bag of apple is not included). The farm is huge. My children, spouse and self had a great time! There was so much to do such as animal petting/feeding, hunted house, hayride to the apple/pumpkin field ( you can purchase apple bags for an additional fee), we bought one bag for $20, there are multiple slides, corn maze, Halloween parade with prices for the kids, adults and pets, music and other fun activities for the kiddos that were included in the price of admission. You can’t bring liquids nor food, however the food at the farm was ok and the cider donuts were good. The lines for the food and drinks were longgggg but they had several food trucks. The activities had a line as well, but nothing crazy. Like I perviously mention this place is GREAT, and deserves a try. I will be back next year!!!! … the price for the adults should be cheaper however when it is all calculated you are basically paying $20 for each person, which is not that bad for all that is offer.

Beautiful farm. Great for kids all age, family. Yes, you can apple picking, pet the animals always being respectful to them, and feed them too. Cool spots to take pics, there's a farmers market, food place. Can't wait to come back!

I don't write negative reviews as a rule, but rules are meant to be broken. A ridiculous $30 entrance fee per person are waiting in a hot, dust line cane as a surprise. Once inside, more lines, more fees, more dust. All I really wanted to do was visit the store and buy some apples. Oddly, the farm store at the orchard did not sell apples. Apples were only available as pick your own. The haunted guide had a king line. The hayride had a long line. Never again

I think most of the complaints are about the pricing on the peak weekends. We went on a weekday with friends, a toddler, and our dog and had a lovely time. There was no fee for entrance at all, we had most of the place to ourselves and could wander at our own pace. We enjoyed the pumpkin patch, picking our own apples- we have a pie baking at home now to enjoy. We also loved the goat walk and the petting area with the alpacas and other farm animals. Our dog enjoyed herself and there was so much room to roam and look around. Some areas were lacking in pickable apples but we still were able to fill our peck bag easily with 4-5 varieties. The farm is huge and has lots to offer including a cider taproom which we didn't get to but did look nice. While it's not the cheapest spot for apple picking I think on a weekday without the entry fee it's a great spot with a ton to offer for entertaining little ones.

Fun activities for kids included with entrance fee. Extreme lines for apple cider donuts. Pet friendly! They had 2 separate dog parks (1 for small dogs and 1 for large dogs) Overall great experience, but get there early. Needs a bit more organization when it comes to parking and lines, but great maintenance on restrooms.

Just went recently used to be my go to farm but it just got really expensive compared to the other farms in Dutchess County. The admission prices include a lot but there is no option for people that aren't using those things and just for admission your spending about $100+ for a family of 4. My daughter did love the farm animals and the play area. I did notice some construction not sure what is going in that area.
I've been coming here for about 18 years. It's so sad to see how it's changed. $30 entrance fee and once you get in you just keep spending. The donuts WERE my favorite but now they are just greasy AND you can only buy the sugar coated donuts. What happened to the plain donuts? And you can forget about the powdered donuts, they got rid of those awhile back. The staff is not as friendly as they once were and the environment has changed to a festival feel not a family farm.

Great place for the family. Delicious apples to pick. Animals for the children to see. Excellent live music - we saw two different acoustic acts tonight. Top notch beer selection - I recommend the Captain Lawrence Citra IPA! At the end of the night we tried to buy their famous cider donuts but they were sold out. Then during our walk out an employee there hunted us down with his golf cart to make sure we left with some donuts. Great guy. Great place. Looking forward to our next trip there!

Super expensive - $29.00 a person just to walk through the barnyard door…Then spent more $$ on food & drinks and apple picking. Years past, Barton Orchards was a quaint, inexpensive day for the family. Lately it’s turned into a commercialized money-sucker. I won’t return nor will I recommend to anyone.

Barton Orchards has always been so fun and full of family fun activities! For the price they charge you get to do so much. Once you pay admission you have access to all activities with the exception of food and goods you can purchase inside. We took the hay ride to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch which was really nice. Then went to the Fun Zone which has mini golf, go karts, huge slides and more! We did the corn maze which was so fun! And if you go you MUST try the freshly made apple cider donuts they’re sooooo good! They get packed fast but it’s worth it!

This is now our third year in a row going to Barton Orchards. My nieces and siblings have had such a great time every year we’ve visited. The food selection by the entrance is great, but the food trucks could do a little better on their end. Otherwise, great orchard with a great selection of apples, pumpkins, and other fruits/vegetables.
