Cayenne Nashville Hot Chicken

I was craving chick fil-a post long run but there is no CFA in Astoria. I was looking for alternative chicken sandwich options and discovered Cayenne Nashville Hot Chicken. I got the Southern Chick Sammy and it was heaven! The meat is tender and quite big. I feel like I may have found the best chicken sandwich spot in the neighborhood. 4 stars for the hot chicken, plus an extra star for the very good fries. Chicken was tender and tasty. I ordered fiery spicy and felt that the spice level for someone who likes spicy food, needed a few more levels of spice. My only issue is that the bun was not my favorite, a little too dry and would have preferred a brioche bun, and without sesame seeds. Fries came so crispy and fresh for takeout, with a good amount of it as well.

I went with the Fiery chicken breast sandwich and spicy fries for a pickup order. I was walking from my hotel, so I requested a time about 35 minutes in the future as I was about a half mile away. I arrived at 4:57 and my order was supposed to be ready at 5:05. To my surprise, it was already done and ready for pickup. The bag didn't feel very warm so it seems like it was sitting there a while. Luckily my hotel had a microwave in the lobby so I popped the whole order in for a minute....read full review
