We come here at least once a week in the morning. The fresh Hong-Kong style buns never fail to lift our spirits. Among our favorites are the custard bun, sweet bun, and ham & cheese bun.

Best pineapple bun and other Chinese style pastries / dessert in New York! It tastes better than a lot of bakeries in Hong Kong.

After hearing about this place that it had the best HK style egg tarts in Queens, I definitely wanted to try it out. It's definitely out of the way from Flushing downtown, but we luckily was able to find a metered parking space. We were able to grab a few of the HK style egg tarts but unfortunately, they ran out of the black sesame flavored egg tarts. The egg tarts were made with a cookie crust and it was definitely eggy. The filling was rich and buttery and the cookie crust was not hard at all. I usually like 酥皮 egg tarts but this one was pretty good.

This place is highly touted as the owner was the former pastry chef at Mandarin Oriental HK. It was an inconvenient drive from Flushings Chinatown, by the time we arrived most of the popular pastries were gone. Thankfully there were a few of the signature egg tarts remaing. It was as good as advertised: very rich & buttery. It was not as airy or puffy compared to lets say Golden Gates at SF. Unfortunately the black sesame egg white tart was all sold out.

My girl and I favorite place to get something quick, cheap, and most importantly, delicious in the morning. The owner is super friendly and kind.

This place was OK. A little pricey for certain things such as plain sponge cake was $2.25. I picked up two of them, a custard cream, a roast pork bun, and a black sesame egg white pudding. I also ordered a iced tea with milk. The custard bun was delicious. Not too sweet and the bun was nice and moist. The roast pork bun wasn't typical. It didn't have the color I expected (brown instead of red here) and it had a little too many onions for my taste. The bread was also a little dry. I haven't tried the black sesame pudding yet.... I was drinking the tea while driving and didn't notice until I got home that there was a fly in it . It was covered so it was in there already vs flying in after

Swung by this place to get some treats for Lunar New Year for some coworkers, and I had to come back 3 times to get what I wanted, which was understandable given the holiday. First day I called, they were closed to celebrate the New Year. Understandable. I went by the next day and they didn't have much of anything, and they said it was because they were closed. Still found that odd, that even though they'd been open all day, they hadn't made much, but shrug. Went back a third time with a friend who is a native speaker and was able to get everything I wanted. In Queens, so language barriers are to be expected, but it is something to be aware of if you don't speak Mandarin when you visit. The owners are very kind, but also important to be aware that this location is cash only. I purchased black sesame custard puddings and an almond custard. Everyone enjoyed the custards and decided that they'd go visit the location themselves. Overall really impressed with the quality of these flavors if these are ones that you enjoy!

Amazing pastries--Best Napoleon and cookies. Uncle Wing uses fresh and quality ingredients in Baking ,Providing quality and taste in baked goods. Uncle Wing is a master bakery with over 50+ ( may be 60+) experience. Thanks to dexterous pastry chef Uncle Wing who made these super delicious Napoleons and black currant almond cookies , so that I have a great dessert to say goodbye to the roughest year 2021 , and welcome the year of 2022.

So far I've been to this place twice. Every time I was there I was served by the older lady and then her husband Uncle Wing who is more like Grand Pa Wing. My experience has been positive not just the quality of the pastry but how I was treated as a fellow man. I don't live nearby and I don't go there every day. The couple of times I went it was later in the morning and most of its pastries were sold out. I bought what's left. Both times Uncle Wing came out from the back and treated me with some of the walnut pastry for free. They kind of felt bad that all the buns were sold out and urged me to come early. The couple seems genuine and I have nothing bad to say about them. Your experience may vary.

I was passing through this area so I went in for a quick look inside. I knew they wouldn't have much of a selection since it was in the afternoon on a Sunday but they still had some sponge cakes. I chose lemon over butter for my mom. The second she saw it... she knew it would taste really good. It was so soft. I didn't try it but if my mom said it was good....it means it's delicious! She's very picky. Definitely better quality than the popular Chinese bakeries in Queens. It's a lil out of the way for me and I doubt I could ever make it to this bakery in the morning...but I'll try to come back again since my mom loved the cake.

My favorite neighborhood chinese style bakery but get up early if you want to grab an egg tart. They sell out fast. I go at 9 to get the egg tart and usually by 10 or 11 the other buns are sold out. Also, don't skip out on their custard flan, which is one of my favorite items to get at Morning bakery.Try the egg tart, custard bun, custard flan, coconut bun, and taro bun. Prices are on the higher side but the quality is better than most of the other chinese bakeries. The buns and desserts are always fresh.

This place is quite remarkable. I’ve had tons of HK baked goods in my day and but my first time here has convinced me that this is probably THE spot. The “bolo” bun (crispy light yellow sweet topping) is the best I have had, hands down. The bread is all delicate and fluffy, and the topping on this bread is just the right amount of sugar and subtlety of flavor, the consistency of it extremely crispy and crumbles beautifully in your mouth, which is extremely hard to do with an egg white batter like this.Think of a macaron (similar type of batter used) done wrong vs done right. Macaron done wrong = chewy and weird. Done RIGHT = crispy sweet heaven.Honestly there is nothing like this level of quality I have found here. I’m not usually a big fan of this type of bread but I think my views have changed a bit from this experience. Will definitely be a regular customer from here on out.
