We had the family here for the first time last night. We started with the Calamari and the Housemade Ricotta. Both were wonderful. Then our party ordered The NY strip, the steak frites, a pecan encrusted rack of lamb (a special that night), the pappardelle bolognese, and the Burger. Everything was tasty and perfectly prepared EXACTLY as we ordered. The strip was between medium and medium rare and a high quality steak. The frites were perfect. The pappardelle was fresh made and the sauce outstanding. The lamb was served with a chimmichurri and had 6 chops that were excellent. The Burger was a sight to see. It was large and pink and great. Then we had practically one of everything for dessert which was the end to a perfect night. The service COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER. We had one main server, Lily, who was professional and got everything right (Definitely ask for her) and a handful of other servers during the night that were attentive and professional. The kitchen is in full view of every table and was great to watch. The room was comfortable and the ambiance helped make the night special. Highly recommend this for a dinner you can count on as being one of the best.

Shoutout Paige and the host (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch his name) for accommodating us with our baby and helping make our experience so much more enjoyable. Not sure if it’s the way they were trained or just because they are wonderful human beings but either way I hope their managers take note!

We were there midday for brunch in a Saturday and everything was impressive. That includes the service, atmosphere and the food. We had the salmon toast to start and French toast with two eggs scrambled. I’m a bit of a French toast snob and this by far is one of my favorites. I tried some of the chicken sandwich which was delicious as well. We enjoyed the pastry with the Latte so much so we order the rest to go so we could try them all . There was no time for pictures we were hungry and enjoying the moments.Kid-friendliness: We had our nine month old and they were very accommodating .. we had a good corner table just to be able to prop all of the baby things

I feel bad for not doing this review sooner, but luckily my wife got one in a few weeks ago. There is no way my review can do justice to Zach and the entire team at The Amsterdam (and I do mean the entire team). The overall atmosphere from the moment of walking through the front door is inviting, friendly, and somehow screams that you are about to experience something special. Indeed you are. From the moment of seating, the entire staff is welcoming, attentive, and, most importantly, happy. Everyone seems to be happy to be working there and that, in turn, makes you feel happy to be there. The open kitchen just adds to the inclusive feeling of the entire restaurant. We have taken advantage of that openness and have had wonderful conversations with Chef Zachary. Speaking of Chef Zachary, it really is impossible in a short review to describe how incredible the food is. In my most recent two visits I have had the pleasure of experiencing the short ribs and the Coq au Vin. You simply won't find better plates than these anywhere. It's almost shocking how good these dishes are. The desserts are equally amazing. I have noticed some reviews "complain " about the prices. Frankly, if you're "shocked" by prices before walking in in the year 2024, that's on you, as everything is easily found online (as evidenced by the "shocked" review you posted on Google). Also, the food and service is worth every cent. Well done by Chef Zachary and the entire team at The Amsterdam!

We made reservations on line for my birthday. The menu had Happy Birthday printed at the top which was a nice touch. Started with Salmon Rillettes. First time trying this and would definitely recommend. Hubby had braised short ribs. It was the best he's ever had. I ordered duck breast. The portion was small but the flavor was amazing. We finished off with a warm Brownie with salted carmel. Perfection. Our server was Paige. She was amazing. Stayed right on top of everything and had a bubbly personality. They have an open kitchen and we had the opportunity to chat with the chef, Zac. A young chef that was happy to take the time to talk to us. This is by far in our top 3 favorite restaurants. We were told they change the menu 4 times a year (for each season). Can not wait to go back!

Excellent. Movie, then dinner. We've been wanting to eat here for sometime. A quiet dinner for two starting with cocktails and mussels and clams (the broth was amazing), a medium rare rib eye cooked perfectly with sides that made me want to order this very large piece of beef. The wife had a jones for the burger. We can't wait to go back and sit at the bar for dinner.

The ambiance of this place was moody, calming, sexy and overall great. Our waitress Kayla was so sweet and caring. I had the burger which was delicious- I just wished I asked for it to be medium rare. My friend had the parpadelle and it was so fresh, and tasty! Highly recommend this place as well. The food in Hudson has been incredible overall.

I was underwhelmed for the cost. Service was pleasant and professional and drinks were good. The menu of sides and starters was more appealing than the entrees, which were relatively basic. Autumn bisque was yummy, but lobster bisque a bit oversalted. My husband enjoyed his pork chop, but the only entree that really grabbed me was the market fish. It was salmon that night -my least fave fish- but it was well cooked at medium. There was also a fruit fly circling our table, which is always kind of ugh. The space is lovely but our bill, including drinks and tip, exceeded $200.

Ambiance is really the best with a view into the kitchen and tables spaced far enough apart to insure an intimate experience.All of the food was delicious and fresh. They need to open a location in Portland Maine because this is really top tier! Our server was attentive and kind as well. The restaurant even printed special menus that said happy birthday on them. 10/10
