My wife and I got married there a few weeks ago on October 29th and they provided everything we needed and more.We had tons of questions, as neither of us had gone through this process before, and their team was incredible at providing us answers, quickly and efficiently.We also had some odd requests, such as having a cider bar. This wasn't included in any of their packages, but Chris the owner went above and beyond to accommodate our request and it was better than we could have imagined!Their support wasn't just amazing during the preparation, but on the actual day they were incredible at keeping everything running everything. Even when some close family were running late so we decided to delay the start time by a few minutes, they were great at communicating this with all the vendors and everything went swimmingly.Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the aesthetic, because it is truly remarkable.

The bridal suite was a perfect spot to get ready in with our bridal party and also freshen up in throughout the night. My father in law especially loved the stage to show off his dance moves. Their care and attention to detail could be seen anywhere from the custom cocktails that had our guests raving to the hospitality they shared with our families. The bridal suite was stunning and gave the bridal party a comfortable place to get ready and relax.At one point I thought I lost my parents crystal champagne glasses but Jessica had already safety stored them in the bridal suite for us to pick up later. We were truly able to enjoy our special night because we didn’t have to worry about any of the details.The staff was always one step ahead and filled with positivity and patience, we had a blast and wish we could do it all over again.

Jessica was there for us every step of the way, was super responsive over email, patient and fun, and handled last minute changes with grace. Chris made us the most incredible signature cocktails that everyone raved about the entire night. Shannon, Shane, and the rest of the day-of crew were phenomenal. They took wonderful care of us. They made sure we had drinks, coffee, food, dessert, snacks and (most importantly) time to ourselves. They flipped the room from the ceremony set up to the reception space so easily and efficiently, they lit all 150+ candles that were part of our decor, AND they broke down the entire event after we finished up. Amazing.The Highland Suite was the best place to get ready. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable to hang out in and has so much natural light. The German House provided hot coffee, tea and water, plus we had delicious mimosas supplied by Chris. My husband and I got married at the German House in June and it was the best day of our lives! Our experience with the German House played a role in making this day smooth and special. Jessica, the wedding coordinator, was absolutely perfect to work with and helped us greatly through the planning process to help us make decisions and keep things (mostly) stress-free. She was extremely responsive and communicative and she made sure everything was planned for the day so that it would all run smoothly. She made sure we had planned for things I had not thought of! All the other staff members the day-of were kind and helpful and I am amazed at how many friends and family told us this was one of the best weddings they had been to. The space itself is gorgeous. The German House already had a special place in my heart, living in the area, and it was so beautiful. The building is pretty and unique so barely any decorating is required (which I really liked!). It was cool having multiple "spaces" that our guests could hang out in - from the mezzanine to the stage. The bridal suite is absolutely beautiful and all our photos we took in the building are fantastic. Only downside was the cost - there were added costs beyond face-value and this was stressful for me, but I think that is a problem with the broader wedding-industry and I would probably experience the same thing with most venues today. Ultimately - I wouldn't change a thing and it really was the wedding of my dreams!

The wedding venue of our dreams! We couldn't be happier with how our special day turned out and the staff at the Historic German House deserve major kudos for helping make our dream a reality. The building itself has such a classic and timeless feel but has been updated with cool and classy modern amenities, plus the Highland Suite was the perfect setting for our bridal party to get ready and gather throughout the morning and day. We especially loved having the ceremony and reception all in one place so we could spend as much time as possible with our guests and keep the party going seamlessly. In the months leading up to our wedding day, we worked closely with Jessica, Chris, and Shannon who made sure every little thing behind the scenes ran smoothly and are truly a dream team to work with -- flexible, kind, hardworking professionals that feel like friends. We received so many compliments from our guests on the staff, drinks (Chris helped us create delicious signature cocktails, including a zero proof one for my husband who doesn't drink), and the venue itself. In this day and age, it feels like such a blessing to have a stress-free wedding day but I can honestly say we did! The Historic German House was a gorgeous reception venue for our wedding!The use of the bridal suite was extremely useful in the morning and they also acted as our rain plan as the ceremony was open air.We really appreciated the amount of care they took to set up the venue so beautifully. We had some last minute requests, especially about the bar, and we are so grateful they were able to accommodate us.And the mocktails were so good! Our compliments to Chris; he and the rest of the staff were wonderful to work with. Most of all, we are so glad that everything ran smoothly. I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Historic German House and it was such a joy. From start to finish, the venue and staff did a wonderful job.The building itself is absolutely stunning, with its historic charm and elegance. It was the perfect backdrop for wedding photos (I especially loved the Highland Suite and the theatre seating in the balcony). I think it’s a particularly great venue for late fall/winter weddings because of how beautiful the architecture is. Photographing outdoors is always my first preference, but I loved photographing indoors at The Historic German HouseBut beyond the beauty of the venue, the staff were truly top-notch. They were kind, professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure that everything ran smoothly. They were a pleasure to work with and made the day that much more special for the couple.
