i guess ive been here since 2017 and my name is not in the system. time to be a snowbird

They always help me !!!

I don’t know what going on with this agencies, how can I be 3 and half months without work and begging this people to feed my two children and I, I ve desperately had applied a number of times and I give them the paper requirements that requests from you and no answer over three weeks now waiting for them to decide if my family is worthy of food smh 🤦🏻‍♀️ if it weren’t a real emergency they would helped quicker I guess I also had done a fair hearing but babamy girl has been waiting alr a month to hear from them smh not worth it all this agencies should do a collection of personal and toss them in the garbage bc them garbage.

Dss is a great place to go for help if you going there for the right reasons when I was a kid they help my family 👪 so much and I thank them for that so I hope these words reach the right people maybe look into what I'm about to say I believe DHS can be a even better place if they became like a Advocate to fight for people who get laid off of work or even Terminated they should fight for the people as look into why this person got laid off or terminated because some jobs never have a good reason they go off how they feel about a person work Ethics or sometimes race the people need more people in the system to fight for them I believe this will save The economy a lot of money if they can transition into something like that just a Thought.

They don’t pick up phone they hang up on you

They have improved alot. Theres no longer a 2 hr wait jus ta be seen. The staff have better demeanor. Its cleaner then it use to be.

Been trying to get through to someone for 3 days with over 5 hours of wait time just to ask questions that their automated system isn’t providing answers for. This is absolutely horrendous. Whoever’s in control of managing needs to be replaced and their entire staff needs to be gutted if no one can competently answer a phone to spend 1-5 minutes assisting me.

Lady on phone was rude and wouldn't let me speak. Some help they are.

Poor phone service I've been on the phone on hold for 98mins now this sucks very poor help when I need to get stuff done

Please know during regular office hours, you have your automated message saying your office is closed, makes it impossible to speak with an actual human when necessary.

Everytime i call they never answer they giv u phn number options but wen u call they too dam lazy to pikup phn

The workers try to help but the system keeps their hands tied and will force someone to be dead broke and selling all they have before they help. In short if you have your last they’ll take it in exchange for their help.
Not to mention a lot of people who work there can’t admit when they’ve made a mistake. I don’t believe there is any accountability for the staff whom mistakes that alter the lives of the clients.
The point of this department is to help those whom need to stabilize themselves and their families.
More times then not these people are turned away of required to be broken down to a level of sub-human before they help you.

Very rude employees. As soon as I sat down and the worker found out where I worked she said I was denied. Didn't even show my pay stubs or landlord statements. Why have me come in and miss work if y'all was gonna just say denied. Then I look up the income level qualifications and what I grossed and she was dead wrong.
