Great food, but ABSOLUTELY HORRID service today- almost comical; let me count the ways… 1)Sat forever before being acknowledged 2) after waiting forever, server screwed up drink order 3) one of main courses came out b4 appetizer 4) when main course above came out, no plates. When we flagged down server several minutes later, asked for plates, several minutes later he brought small appetizer plates. We said, “no, dinner plates”. Another TEN minutes later he brought one plate- husband was like, “but there’s two of us!?” 5)server seemed pissed off we asked for second plate. We waited another long time- food now getting cold. 6) appetizer came out and it was wrong- asked for steamed, not fried dumplings. 7) second entree came out when we had given up and we’re halfway through the first. then, to top off the dining ambiance, the server rolled garbage can back and forth through the dining area as we were eating. Noisy and disgusting. 9) after we were finished, server never came back… I finally got up and had to raid the bussing station to get a to-go container for leftovers. 10) after another 10 minutes of waiting, husband had to go to back of house to find server to cash out. Yeah. Not busy. There were three other tables to start with, but only us (one table) through most of the rest. Hey, I was a server. It can be tough. Maybe someone called in and the bus boy was ‘promoted’. Early on, We were incredibly close to leaving money for drinks on table and walking out! Shame on the management for not doing THEIR job and making sure everything covered! And that staff were trained to do a decent job. Especially since for part of this time, an owner? Manager? Sat at the bar playing on his phone!

The taste is good and the price is affordable. You can order in Chinese, I hope the meat can be given a little more...

Pretty cool place! If you can get a fun group of friends together you can have an awesome time here singing karaoke.

Absloutely the worst experience of my life. The guy was so mean. You could hear a pin drop in that place. It was super small and claustrophobic and you couldn't talk privately as it was incredibly quiet and you can hear everything in the restaurant. Besides that. The food wasn't good. The worker was rude and mean to me and my fiend for no reason. We had a second Groupon to the place and decided not to go a second time because of the experience we had initially

Had a great time in a karaoke room and got some great food. It was so much fun and we all want to go back! I would definitely recommend.

3.5 STARS NOT 3 STARS. WOULD NOT LET ME GIVE HALF STAR. I just went here recently. While unassuming on the outside, the interior is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The interior is broken into two sections: the restaurant section and the back rooms where people can karaoke. When you sit down, there is a large water bottle they have filled so you can pour yourself water throughout the meal; there is a traditional looking teapot that you can pour yourself hot tea from as well. I found this to be convenient and liked the idea of not having to wait for refills. The service is prompt, however there does seem to be a bit of a language barrier with some of the wait staff. This is easily resolved by just pointing to what you want on the menu. Something I didn't appreciate is that our waitress sat down next to us while taking our order and was leaning very closely when we were pointing to the menu to tell her what we wanted. While I understand the language barrier can be an issue, it is still Covid times and I found myself taken a back by her closeness. The portions are filling and the food came out fairly quickly, though the prices were a little bit on the higher end Something to keep in mind is that the food seems to be Sichuan style, which is very spicy asian food. They have red peppers next to the menu items that they consider spicy. The peppers go in a range from 1-3. I ordered the hot and sour soup while my friend ordered one of the dry hot pots. While both only had 1 pepper shown next to them, they were both incredibly spicy. I eat a lot of spicy food and felt like the spice levels depicted by the peppers on the menu, weren't accurate to how spicy the actually was. Apart from the hot food, my friend also ordered a Congee bowl. This was very delicious, however seemed a bit more soupy than I'm typically used to. All in all, the atmosphere is pleasing and the service is fast, but the prices can run on the higher end. While the actual mannerisms of the wait staff was a bit off putting, I again, felt like it could just be due to language and cultural barriers. A key point to keep in mind, if you cannot handle spicy food, do NOT go here. If you like spicy food, this is the place for you! The food packs a bunch of bold flavors and has a traditional Sichuan taste.

Ordered a couple of items off the menu and was told it would be 20mins for pickup. Waited for over 40mins which was extra stressful with a newborn in my car. Messed up our order hence the wait...will not be going back

Ordered takeout for dinner. Had the Hunan fried rice (very delicious) and the Szechuan spicy noodles (okay). The three stars are due to the slowness of preparing my order; waited an extra 15 minutes than promised. Maybe the best is to eat there in person instead of ordering takeout.

Surprisingly good food and a very wide variety of it !I had minimal expectations from the impression I got - a karaoke bar in a strip mall in a low rent part of Henrietta- but was pleasantly surprised by the depth and breadth of their menu offerings. Excellent execution of the dishes and unhurried service ( no pressure to turn over tables ) make it a great haven to hide out and enjoy a leisurely meal or afternoon !

The food is always outstanding and the service is great. This is our go-to spot for Chinese - we'd argue it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Rochester area! Can't go wrong.

Revolution Karaoke! What a sneaky place! Hiding the best tasting Chinese food in Rochester in a karaoke bar! It was so good I went back twice in less than a week (and I'll likely be back again next week)! The restaurant specializes in Szechuan cuisine, a region of China where the prevailing flavor is MaLa (that's "Ma" or numbing, and "La" or spicy). Revolution does this food AUTHENTIC. I got the Steamed Chicken with Chili Sauce, the Fried Lamb with Cumin, and the Boiled Sliced Fish with Hot Chili Sauce. All are FIRE (in the figurative sense, not literally on fire or spicy fire). The chicken (which technically translate to saliva chicken from Chinese because it makes you salivate) is both sweet and spicy, with that characteristic MaLa flavor and is extremely tender and delicious because of the way it's cooked. You only need to be careful of bone shards as it's cut in a way that the bone cracks. The fish is the most tender little fillets you've ever eaten, falling apart with minimal chewing and perfectly pairing with the spicy sauce that clings to each rivet in the sliced fish. It is a little different than the water-cooked fish (as it translates from Chinese) that I've had in the past, but still hits all the right notes. The lamb is tender and not at all gamey. It pairs perfectly with the grassy cilantro and peppery onion slices. What can I say! I left with both a full belly and full heart. The service could use a little improvement, as only one server covered the entire restaurant, but I'll give him a pass in COVID times. Their namesake, karaoke, is not yet open, but I will be excited to eat a full meal and sing my heart out once that opens up! Highly, highly recommend trying this joint out! YUM!

2 out of 3 dishes were v. good, the pork fried rice and chicken with vege. The s&s shrimp had UNPEELED shrimp in a banal sauce. The server brought out the food but didn't give us plates or forks till we asked, and then a v. small plate, not a dinner plate. No noodles and duck sauce. But who the heck serves unpeeled shrimp?
