Came for my birthday. The food is amazing.
I am a fried chicken snob. This is the first fried chicken I've had north of the Mason Dixon line that amazed me.
Hubby had the lasagna which was great and the sauce was over the top!
Blackened shrimp done perfectly.
The service is attentive and responsive and kind.
The owners are delightful and generous.
Also! Amazing Coconut Rice Pudding!
This is our new go to place in Saugerties.

Our first visit was great. Today's visit was not so good. The steak in the quesadilla and nachos had no seasoning. The nachos were glued together with melted cold cheddar cheese, like it had been sitting for a while. The waitress never stopped by to see how things were after giving us our food. We were very disappointed, sorry to say.

The town cafe is one of the most prosthesis
Places I have ever had the honor to find at. It’s atmosphere is so comforting reminding me of happier days. There food as good as there service is delectable from there fine mozzarella wedges to there finer meals wi the the hook and New York strip steak.I have eaten there so many times I say “May I get my usual.” They get me what I order the most I bet that you would get the same treatment from coming here often.Another thing I love are the great waitresses they really do bring the place alive to sweet and kind Morgan to the wonderful and funny Karla and of course there are more but you should meet them yourselves to fully experience there uniqueness. One thing that I honor about the town cafe is that they keep there facilities very tightly and clean which always makes a public restroom more comfortable. The last thing I would like to add to this review is there delicious desserts all hand made and home cooked with love just like everything else at the town cafe.

Waitress doesn’t come back to refill coffee or tea . Owner/ manager/ cook likes to argue about his sub standard cooking .

I have been to the Town Cafe on a few occasions ABC I have not been disappointed. Last night I had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was very good. I don't generally eat other peoples meatballs but these were so good all of them. The service was phenomenal. I was greeted at the door with a smiling face. Andrea was so personable and tended to my needs as the need srose.i highly recommend the hot open roost turkey sandwich which I had in a previous visit.

Such a cute place!
GET THE CREME BRULEE! It was soooo good! Everything was delicious, the decor is adorable, the owners are by far the sweetest pair! Traveled all the way from Florida to have lunch here and it was incredible! Can't wait to come back on our next trip back home!

Quaint little place. Food was delicious. We ordered Nachos with beef, Turkey Club, Chef Salad and the Town Salad (caprese). Everyone left with full stomachs and some leftovers. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are very friendly.

While on vacation, we visited 4 times, including twice near closing time for their excellent crème brûlée. Each time, the service was outstanding! Very friendly and welcoming staff. The food was always good and tasty. Highly recommend!

I am very happy to have Town Cafe in Saugerties! Everything I tried so far is better than average, and the prices are fair compared to other Village restaurants.
If you haven’t noticed the positive reviews for their fried chicken, i highly suggest you make note. It’s the best bone in fried chicken I’ve had.

We ordered the steak (cooked to order) and mashed potatoes, fried chicken and fries, spaghetti and meatballs and bacon and eggs. Everything was delicious. There was so much food we brought some of it home and had it again.
Kid-friendliness: I brought a 3 year old and they were very nice to her. They asked her what she wanted to eat and not her parents. They treated her like a customer.

I ordered the huevos rancheros for breakfast and it was delicious. Chorizo, refried black beans, perfectly-cooked eggs, avocado slices, a red chile sauce and salsa verde, too.

After visiting the Saugerties Lighthouse and reading excellent reviews, I decided to stop by The Town Cafe Restaurant, and I'm happy I did. As soon as I was seated, my server, Karla, promptly provided me with a menu and took my drink order.
I chose the Western Omelet, and the freshness of the peppers enhanced it significantly.
Karla was not only efficient and attentive with my drink refills but also very personable, taking the time to chat with me after my meal.
Make sure to check the large blackboard near the front door for today's specials.
