Sichuan style restaurant located on 25A near Stony Brook University, at the same address as Xiao Si Chuan.

Food: We ordered sauteed pig intestine w. Garlic 干煸肥肠 and sauteed pork in authentic Chengdu style 酱爆五花肉. The dish is a bit salty for my taste, though my friend finds the seasoning just right. Another friend recommended the drunk beef, which is quite spicy.

Service: The waiter was friendly and asked about our dining experience. When we noted that tomato egg is a common dish but not exist in the menu, he mentioned we could still request it even though it wasn't listed.

Parking: Free parking lot, more space available towards back.

Sichuan Garden is absolutely amazing. It was so good that it was like a symphony of deliciousness. Every aspect of the restaurant and the food was absolutely perfect. Make sure you get the eggplant and garlic sauce it was divine! The stir fried sizzling mushroom was beyond delicious. The jasmine tea is also loose leaf freshly brewed and a perfect touch to my meal. I will be back soon!

Food was astonishingly fresh and flavorful for such a small and cozy restaraunt! Staff are super friendly and all the customers were Chinese (always a good sign). We ordered various different dishes ranging from vegetables to authentically cooked meats. They played calm jazz music and the layout of the restaurant is very clean and sleek. Definitely coming back in the near future.

I've eaten here before and the food was good. Orange chicken and pork dumpling soup were both good. Kung pao chicken was salty. This time I ordered take out, double cooked pork and it was disgustingly salty. there were only 6 small pieces of fatty sliced pork and the rest was green leeks. I ate the pork b/c I was hungry and the rest was thrown away. NEVER AGAIN!

We checked out this place to try a new type of cuisine! The dishes ranged from the familiar to the exotic. This was awesome since we had some adventurous and picky eaters at the table. The portions were generous! The servers were polite and welcoming!
Though a little pricey, it matched the quality and portion size of the meal.
I would HIGHLY recommend checking this place out during their lunch specials, OR, with a coupon from the local magazines.
Definitely come with friends so you can try each other's dishes!

Incredible & authentic food. The soup dumplings are massive, rich, and flavorful. The sour cabbage fish has broth that is light but still very delicious- probably the best version I’ve ever had of this dish (and I lived in Asia).

Overall experience 10/10. Best authentic Chinese restaurant in Stonybrook.

Absolutely fantastic, we had the soup dumplings, drunk beef, and a few other dishes. All of it was great, not a single bad bite. I absolutely recommend this to anybody.

Given the glut of places calling themselves authentic Sichuan, I asked my dear Chinese friend of 30yrs to call and screen this restaurant for us. After 2 mins of talking with Mr. Lin, the owner, my friend calls me and says “Go now…this place is the real deal.” I have to say Mr Lin and his restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered crispy cucumber for appetizers, mapo tofu, snow peas and braised whole sea bass. Nothing short of perfection. The abundance of vegetables, the range of temperatures/textures from the cold crispy cucumber to the melt in your mouth steaming sea bass, the peppercorns that tingle every part of your tongue and palate…we had to be hauled away in a wheelbarrow. To top it off, Mr. Lin is the warmest, gentlest host who also owns the sushi place down the street. Icing on the cake - a liquor store and a gas station selling beer 1 min away by foot.

The restaurant just opened so we thought we would give it a try and so glad we did. This may be the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. I had orange chicken, it was not overly breaded or oily and the chicken chunks were all meat. The steamed and fried dumplings were also fantastic. We went back again and I tried a spicy Tofu dish which was outstanding. This is a small place and alot of people from the Stony Brook area eat there so it may take slightly longer to get your food but the quality makes it all worth it.

The portions are on the small side, so it’s suitable for those who want to share meals. The taste is hard to describe, and it belongs to the blind box mode. The tomato and egg drop soup tastes good, but the soup bowl is too small. The jellyfish, siomai and kung pao chicken were average. The hot and sour noodles look like half a bottle of vinegar has been poured into them, and the soybeans on top have the texture of being fried after getting wet.
